For healthier teeth, flossing daily in a sawing motion is highly recommended. Take the floss to the point where the teeth meet the gums.

I am also getting ulcer in every month.

Improve your food habits, take proper nutrition, reduce the stress and take medications for few days. There are many reasons for this, sometimes hormonal imbalance also cause oral ulcers. If these measures wont help you then you must visit to doctor.

Whichever toothpaste you use. God has given you this shade of teeth n no one paste can change the color. The only solution is what you need is to get a veneering done for front teeth if you are so really desperate to get white teeth thanks.

Teeth getting cracked in transverse direction at gum level. When will they break fully ?

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
A tooth has two parts. The crown which is visible in the mouth and the other is the root which is submerged in the bone that provides anchorage and support to the tooth. If a piece of the tooth is fractured or cracked from the tooth crown portion that does not mean that the whole tooth is fractured. A simple fracture of the tooth can be treated by fillings, crowns and rct followed by crowns. These will restore your tooth back to its former shape. If its a complex fracture involving root of the tooth then it should be extracted. Consult your dentist for examination of the tooth and a xray might also be needed if required.

I am suffering from dental pain since last 2 days. Can you suggest me what should be done?

BDS
Dentist, Delhi
I am suffering from dental pain since last 2 days. Can you suggest me what should be done?
Dear lybrate-user, the toothache you are suffering from may be due to a variety of causes, the most common being: 1. Tooth decay 2. Tooth fracture 3. A damaged filling 4. Infected gums the most common cause is a long-standing cavity or tooth decay, which usually requires a root canal treatment (rct). The same treatment applies to a tooth fracture as well. In case of a damaged filling, there may be two possibilities: either the filling can be removed and replaced with a new one after applying a soothing base material; or if the damaged filling is placed deep near the nerves of the tooth, it may require an rct. Infected gums usually are treated with deep cleaning/scaling after which there is permanent relief from pain. Send images of your aching tooth/teeth, and looking at them will help me be in a better position to solve your problem.
