For diabetes and blood pressure follow a diet low in carbohydrate,low in salt, low in fat and high in fibre. Avoid bakery products. Avoid too much rice and potato. Avoid fried stuff. Avoid chocolate, cakes, ice cream, soft drinks and fruit juices. Eat lots of vegetables. Walk for at least 30 minutes a day for 5 days in a week. Medicine and insulin will work better if you follow diet and exercise. Medicine will depend upon what you are taking currently. Get your HbA1c and S Creatinine level also done.

Hi Your girlfriend might be having a vaginal infection. If you can let me know if she has problem of any vaginal discharge or itching in that area I will be able to help you better. Till then drink plenty of water, maintaining a good hygiene, keeping the area dry should help. Do not worry vaginal infections can be treated easily but be beware they can be transmitted via sexual contact. So I would advise you to abstain till her treatment is complete. Hope this helps you. My daughter suffered by epilepsy. Only two times one year before. Dr. prescribed to take, 500 mg levipil twice per day. morning 500 mg eve 500mg. Since one year seizure had not come. She is studying CA. CAN WE STOP TO TAKE MEDICINE. GANESH.

Sir you should not stop medicine. She should take the medicine ideally for one more year then the medicine will be tapered off and stopped. If she stops now she has a great chance of having recurrence of seizure then she will hv to start again that too for another two yrs. Its good dat she is seizure free for one years and try not to miss a single dose for one more year.

Most men do not have a straight penis. A slight curvature of the penis upwards, downwards or to the side is already apparent at birth. If the curvature does not cause a problem during sexual intercourse and does not increase, treatment/surgery is not necessary. The main difference between what is called a curved penis and a bent penis is the severity of the bend. And, a bent penis is usually caused by scar tissue that can not stretch sufficiently on erection. A curved penis usually has no scarring. It is usually caused by a part of the penis being overstretched. That is all it is. It is a condition. It is not a" disease"

Hello. I have a problem. I've been exercising for 2 months now and I've lost some weight and I've seen a difference in my stomach. It's not completely flat , but its not as high as it was before. My stomach goes up every time I eat and it doesn't come down until after days of exercise and as a result of that I hardly eat, I mean I eat, but it's not much, its like 1 meal with a little fruit here and there and I drink lots of water. I'm afraid if I eat my stomach will go up . A few days ago. I ate something. It wasn't anything big. Something small and then my stomach went up and its big right now. I've been exercising and it still won't go down. It wasn't like this before. It just sucks because just when I think I'm making progress in my weight loss journey , this happens. What do you think I should do?

Hi Lybrate User, As per your height and weight ratio.. Your BMI comes to 32.6 which falls in Obese Category. You need to work to bring it down to about 70 which is possible through better eating habits and regular exercise.. Aim to bring down about 2 kgs per month. Avoid looking at your stomach every moment. The stomach size will go up and down during the day. Avoid doing crash diets as you seem to be doing now. Crash diets will lead you to eating more junk food. Please refer to a dietician and start with a proper Nutrition plan + an Exercise plan. Don't expect daily results... Have patience.. bit by bit you can be fit...

At your age this claim is serious. If you have depression then there are some major ramifications to take into account. I believe there may be some genetic predisposition or there has been some childhood issue, related to anger, that needs urgent attention. You must go and meet with a counselor immediately and if that person advises that you meet with a doctor you must do so and cooperate to your utmost. Please visit these professionals along with your parents. In the meantime please do the following sincerely because you could resolve the problem better with good cooperation: Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber, nuts, avocado, exercise regularly, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. I suggest you do the opposite of what this depression makes you feel like doing (actually, not doing): you will need to fight this condition. You must become active; stay upright during the daylight time; meet people; never sleep during the day, wake up by 6 am every day, play some active games, especially contact games, do physical exercises, talk to people and join some social clubs, attend Yoga classes etc. Watch sitcoms on TV or comedies and cheer yourself up. Go for excursions in groups, for outings, camps, conferences, and religious conventions. Get a pet dog and spend time training it, exercising it and relating to it. Expose yourself to some sunlight every day, at least, 30 minutes but not in the scorching heat. Whatever happens, please incorporate these three important adaptations in your life: always be responsible, be respectful, and be functional. If you did these three, lots of things will go well in life. Please pray and have faith in God to alleviate your sufferings. Don’t wait for others to help. Use your own motivation, which might be at its lowest, but persevere and win this battle. Above all to be really happy, you need to live in love and for love. Learn all about emotions and how to handle them and that will get you out of the depression rather easily and quickly. A counselor is there only to facilitate you, all the hard word must come from you, and your cooperation with that person is very critical for your success. Be positive every day and learn to be contented with what you have. Do some left brain exercises: it is the happy brain. Here are a few suggestions: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. Whatever happens please cooperate with the therapy and do not discontinue until the condition is completely resolved. As regards the concentration you are sure to have hormonal imbalances which may impact your memory because of the chemical but also the distractions that come with it; together with depression I can imagine your problems. But you may work on the following even if the hormones kick in: Daily exercise of at least half an hour is a must. Even if you go to a gym, ask for aerobic and/or callisthenic exercises with whatever else you are doing. A healthy body harbors a healthy mind. With regard to memory, it is very important that your brain and body is ideally rested to be able to recall whatever is required, rather comfortably. Puzzles pose problems to the brain that help it to use new pathways and neurons, which give the brain considerable exercise. It taxes the left brain to use logic to solve the myriad possibilities which other activities do not stimulate. Crosswords are excellent for vocabulary learning and use. Jigsaws and Rubik cube stimulate different permutations to finally settle on the most likely one. Picture completion and anagrams help approach problem solving from several angles. Do Sudoku, and memory co-relation activities and skills. Have a good night’s sleep, have a good breakfast of more proteins, meditate often, remain free of stress, eat a lot of fiber (whole grains, fruits and vegetables), nuts, avocado, eat dark chocolate, do Yoga meditation exercises, etc. You need to check out if you are stronger visual or auditory. The visual is a better mode than the auditory. However, if you combine the two modes, you will get the best concentration. Have a special place of learning, which should be well lit, with soft painted walls, well-ventilated, with no distractions. When you get bored, study by writing. If you repeat learning at least five to seven times, you will apparently remember for a longer time. Sit comfortably but do not slouch. The reading material should be of a fairly large print. Study at small intervals of about 40 minutes and then take a break or change the subject. Short-term memory is a faculty of the left brain, and long-term memory is a feature of the right brain. When people are stressed, they tend to favor the right brain and abandon the left brain, where short-term memory resides. So, it is really very simple: deal with the stress and activate left brain functions. Here are a few suggestions to activate left brain function: shut your left nostril and breathe, move your eyes from right to left and vice versa for at least half a minute at a time, and do callisthenic exercises with some form of counting, regularly. There are some memory enhancing techniques and study methods that your teacher will be able to guide you with. If your home life is full of distractions and stress, it is likely to affect your memory, adversely. In that case, I suggest that the family goes for counseling.

Hello, Common reasons for dark circle are aging, genetics, nutritional deficiency (of vitamin A, C, K, E), sleep deprivation, worm-infestation, anemia, smoking & drinking, dehydration, sun exposure, allergies, stress/ tension and hormonal changes. Dark circles are linked to anemia, and liver diseases. So, in case of dark circles which are there due to some underlying cause can be get rid rid of once the causative factor is rectified. But the dark circles which are inherited from our genes can't be removed completely, to some extent can make slightly better. Diet and Management: Always take a balanced diet rich in green leafy vegetable, dairy products and all types of fruits to keep your body healthy. It is advisable to have at least 10-12 glasses of water and include fresh fruit daily. It is also advisable to restrict the intake of caffeinated drinks such as tea, coffee, alcohol and other caffeinated drinks as it aggravates dehydration. Take enough of 6-8hrs. Of sleep. Avoid taking stress/ tension. Do daily exercising regularly as it increases oxygen carrying capacity of the cells and tissues. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines – Schwabe's Cina 1M/ one dose at night for 10 days; Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos. - both twice daily for 20 days. Revert me there after. Dark Cir.

You should not take dulcolax on long term. Side effects are abdominal dsicomfort (colic, cramps) but chronic use of this drug is not indicated.

Sir, My problem is hairfall and dandruff, I used so many shampoos, I also used keto - z shampoo, after using the shampoos my scalp feel very happy for 2 days after this the next day my scalp will get severe irritation. When I applying oil hairfall will occur I think 40-50 hairs will fall approximately. Iam doing head bath every 2 days. And now I applying neem oil to my hair and leaving it for 2 hours on head bath days and I am using aloevera shampoo. Iam going to gym daily evng. After my workout I eat 5 boiled egg whites daily and 2 chapatis. Please sir can you suggest what I have to do now to stop dandruff and hairfall pls. I went to so many hospitals but there is no use with their medicines. Please solve my problem. This problem is not living me since 5 years. I hope you will solve my problem.

Please note the following for your condition: the head should be massaged slowly with oil or shampoo while bathing or cleaning hairs resulting blood circulation becomes fast and the skin of the head is protected from dryness. Shampoo should be used only two times a week. Hairs should be washed with curd for removing dandruff. Spicy or fried foodstuffs should not be eaten. Excessive cream or jell should not be applied on hairs. Thanks.
