How to prevent pregnancy by natural methods?
Hello, These are the facts you have to know to solve your query. 1. Important fact is to avoid relation in the unsafe period. This unsafe period is to be calculated from menstrual details of last six month. If you provide me this details will help you out. 2. Unsafe period is the period when the egg comes out of ovary and waits for sperms in the Fallopian tube. So by avoiding relations in this period you will avoid pregnancy. Or if you are having relation you have to use condoms. 3. Naturally there are body signs which will tell you whether ovulation has occurred. These are increase in body temperature, thinning of cervical mucous both which you can experience mid cycle. In this days you have to avoid relations. 4. Provide me the first day of your periods of last six months and will give you the details of your unsafe period. So you have to avoid relation in this period. Hope this was helpful to you. Thanks.

Doctor low amh ka matlab kya hai? Eggs ki quality ka kharab hona ya eggs ki quantity kam hona.

DHMS (Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
Homeopath, Ludhiana
It means that the quantity of your eggs is low. Quality is more determined by age. The lower your AMH and the higher your FSH, the worse it is supposed to be in terms of fertiliity. FSH fluctuates alot so AMH is thought to be more predictable.

Well just because you have pcod does not mean you cannot get pregnant! just that some people take longer than others and some may need a bit of help. Please do your pregnancy test and share the report. The test is a blood test called serum beta hcg. Wait for at least 10 days before doing it.

I had sex with my girlfriend and she took unwanted 72 within 20 hours, we had sex again after 24 hours of taking the contraceptive pill, so my question is that should she need to take another pill or the unwanted 72 given after the first intercourse is sufficient?

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology, MBBS
Gynaecologist, Kolkata
Basically the drug is a high dose hormone which delays ovulation by a couple of days. So it may be effective for 2 days at most. It is safer to repeat it. But this cannot be continued indefinitely. It will cause irregular bleeding or can delay the next cycle. If taken early in the cycle within the first 10-12 days, it is most protective. If taken around 14-16th day, it may not stop an imminent ovulation. After 20th day, it may not be necessary as the egg has already burst and dried up. But all this is subject to much chronological variation, as the cycle days alter frequently from month to month. To answer your question, if she is at mid cycle or before she needs to repeat it. If she is beyond 20th day, the choice is yours since it may have no effect, rather it can cause period problems.

PCOD needs long term treatment. The main treatment is to be done by you- the life style changes- that means weight control by diet and exercise. Then we need to give treatment as per the problems like menstrual irregularities, infertility, excessive hair growth etc.

Hi Arpita. I understand the increase hormones during pregnancy can arouse a woman. Masturbation essentially is not harmful. But continuos stimulation and the uterine cramps that accompany an orgasm can trigger premature labour pains. So be very careful.

Even pre-ejaculate secetions can cause pregnancy. Menses can be missed either because of hormonal changes or even stress or illness or even if you have put on some weight in recent times then also menses can be missed. All these problems are temporary and menses will come on its own. You can wait for another 15 days before you can take tablet deviry to get menses. In the meantime, keep repeating urine pregnancy test every week till you get your menses.
