I am 48 years old. I am a little bit fat. I will do so much work. I am house wife real estate agent. I have so much stress and I have diabetes a few days onwards my left knee is hurting and sometimes my heart is palpitating. Is it because of stress. Is it normal. Please help me.

Palpitation may be due to stress. Actually stress is the main cause of emergence of so many disease. Take sleep of at least 8 hours and do meditation daily for peaceful mind. cholesterol is the base of all diseases to cure your cholesterol level firstly avoid consuming refined oil n switch to sarso oil or cow ghee. drink 4 to 5 litres wzter daily but make sure no water for 90 minutes after meals. you can also consume arjun ki chaal from patanjali store to liwer your cholesterol.

Dear lybrateuser, -triglycerides are one of the components of the various lipids in the blood. -we need some tryglycerides for good health but high levelsraise riskof heart disease & may be a sign of metabolic syndrome (high blood pressure, sugar & low good cholesterol ie, hdl) - for heart status various other investigations have to be done -to lower the level ; -lose weight& stay at a healthy weight -limit fats & sugar in the diet -be more active -quit smoking if you are a smoker -limit alcohol -have more of fruits & vegetables in your diet, aiso include some nuts like almonds &walnuts. -get lipid levels checked regularly.

I have left chest pain for last 5 years. Ekg, ct angio done in June 2014 was normal, I have spastic colon diagnosed recently when advised colonoscopy. But the pain is there most of the time and heaviness in stomach area. When the pain comes suddenly but ekg comes normal. I get anxious and fear of Getting a heart attack.

Hi Doctor, I work in north shift from 11: 30 pm to 9: 30 am. How can I manage a good health. I sometimes have sweet pain in left side of chest. What all diets, sleep and rules to be followed to remain healthy as we are in day shifts. Can you please tell me the side effects of Birth shifts.

1. Eat well – Take a balanced Diet comprising of 45% carbohydrate, 30% protein and 25% protein, plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Don’t over eat. Avoid junk, spicy, oily, high calorie, cholesterol rich diet, don’t skip your breakfast. Take warm, homemade food. Avoid food and drink from outside. Don’t skip or postpone your meal. Minimize consumption of refined grains like white rice, white bread, sugary or refined food. 2. Keep hydrated- Drink 2 liters /6-8 glasses of water daily 3. Do regular exercise for one hour daily like brisk walking/Jugging etc 4. Take adequate rest- 7-8 hours of sound sleep in the night is required to remain healthy 5. Kindly get an ecg done to rule out ischaemia and revert.

Hello, Headache and hypertension are inter-related. Few lifestyle changes can help you in controlling and preventing the high blood pressure, even if you're taking blood pressure medication. Eat healthy foods. Consume more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, poultry, fish and low-fat dairy foods. Eat less saturated fat and trans fat. Decrease the salt in your diet. So, avoid eating processed foods, such as canned soups or frozen dinners which contains extra salt in it. Keeping a healthy weight, or losing weight if you're overweight or obese, can help you control your high blood pressure and lower your risk of related health problems. Increase physical activity which can help lowering your blood pressure, manage stress, reduce your risk of several health problems. Get indulged in regular exercising (if your doctor allows you). Limit alcohol. Even if you're healthy, alcohol can raise your blood pressure. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Don't smoke. Tobacco injures blood vessel walls and speeds up the process of hardening of the arteries. Reduce stress as much as possible. Practice healthy coping techniques, such as muscle relaxation, deep breathing or meditation. Getting regular physical activity and plenty of sleep can help, too. Monitor your blood pressure at home. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Schwabe’s Essentia Aurea/ thrice daily which is a cardio-tonic which helps in maintaining blood pressure, improves muscle tone of the heart and narrowing of blood vessels. For backache: Maintain a right standing and sitting posture, keep your back always straight (even while sitting or standing), avoid carrying weight on back. Hold or carry weight divided equally in both the hands or shoulders (to avoid over straining on one particular hand or shoulder). Always select a chair with proper back support and hand-rest. (Excessive sitting or standing is to be avoided as well don’t carry much weight on shoulders). Apart from these, stress could be the major cause of pains! Exercise: Practice Shavasana or Corpse Pose as it looks like a dead body. If practiced correctly and with full efforts, can relax every body part, relaxing not only the body but also the mind: Spread the legs one to two feet apart, the toes are turned outwards, the heels facing each other, a comfortable distance apart. Bring the arms a little away from the body, palms turned upward. Relax the neck and allow it to turn to the side if it is more comfortable. Close the eyes and focus the attention on the body, breathing normally. Begin focusing each body part and relaxing it, then moving on. Keep the mind focused on relaxation, the breath should be normal. Relax the whole body. Management: -Sit straight with a back-rest or back-support. -Stretching or activities that place additional strain on the back are discouraged. -Sleeping with a pillow between the knees while lying on one side may increase comfort. -Lying on your back with a pillow under your knees would also relieves pain and no pillow under your head. -Some people seem to benefit from the use of ice or heat. Take care, do not use a heating pad on ‘high’ or place ice directly on the skin. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Arnica 200 and Rhus Tox. 200 - take both of them thrice daily for 1 week. Also, apply Schwabe's Topi-Arnica and Topi MP Gel on the affected area in circular motions gently thrice a day. Get back to me thereafter.

As the other doctor has said it is a physiological and normal process. but you can control your anger and how your body reacts to it. try to recognise the things that get you angry and imagine one such situation in your mind and tell yourself to calm down and that you will not get angry. there are many other ways of dealing with anger . meditation and relaxation techniques are some of them.

I suggest you easy method of weight gain just follow it for year you will gain weigh defiantly 1. Start exercise regularly for 3 month and then after 3 month leave it for 3 month at the time of exercise your diet will increase but same diet continue after 3 month when you stop exercise so thats why your weight will increase automatically now we discus about diet 2.take dates with milk in the morning breakfast 3.triphala kadha 4 tsp beore lunch and dinner 4.amala juice 4 tsp + 2tsp sugar + 2tsp honey in the morning empty stomach this take for 1.5 month only your weight gain will take definitely note=avoid over eating. When you are trying to gain weight, you should eat food the rich in vitamins and minerals. 1. Healthy food includes meat, egg, milk, fruit vegetables, fruits, and nuts. Cashews, almonds, dates, walnuts, dry grapes, apricots, peaches are some of the dried fruits and nuts that can be added to breakfast, salads, cereal and desserts. High BP at the age of 29 is really high risk. Don't any Ayurvedic medication without consultation. You can simply increase intake of milk, urad dal and boiled rice to increase sexual power.
