Hello, You need to reduce your weight, if you are obeased. It might be postural disorder, correct your posture, please. Ensure, sound sleep for 6/7 hours in the night in a correct posture. I am suffering from gout due to high level of uric acid deposition in my big toe which results in severe pain in toe and toe thumbs. I have been suffering since last 10 years from this, I have tried allopathy and homeopathy but they yielded no permanent result. Please suggest a remedy.

Hi, Most of the time, a high uric acid level occurs when your kidneys don't eliminate uric acid efficiently. Things that may cause this slow-down in the removal of uric acid include rich foods, being overweight, having diabetes, taking certain diuretics (sometimes called water pills) and drinking too much alcohol. Other less common causes are a diet high in purine-containing items or your body producing too much uric acid. Prevention:- -Increase your intake of fibre-rich diet. -Olive oil helps you avoid the production of excess uric acid. -Regular intake of 500 mg of vitamin C will decrease your uric acid levels in a month or two. -Avoid bakery products. -Increase intake of antioxidant-rich foods like fruits and vegetables. -Drink a minimum of 3 and 1/2 liters of water daily. Water is a medium that aids the kidney to 'strain' the impurities from your body. -Limit meat, poultry and fish - animal proteins are high in purine and this will result in high uric acid levels in the body. -Limit or avoid alcohol. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicine - Colchicum 30/ 3 times a day daily for a month.

This treatment is being suggested on bases of the information provided. I would like to examine & investigate you in detail. Rule out Diabetes. Any way it may be tried, --.Acetaminophen 250mg OD & SOS. X 5days. --.Caldikind plus (from Mankind)1 tab OD x 5 days. --. Fomentation with warm water. --. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding. -- .Do mild exercises for back, knee & legs (Take help of a physiotherapist or visit www.drncgupta.com). Kindly make sure, there is no allergy to any of these medicines. (Contact family doctor, if needed). For emergency treatment visit nearest hospital. Hi thanks for your query and welcome to lybrate. I am Dr. Akshay from fortis hospital, new delhi. I would advise you for some investigations to rule out certain pathologies so that we can arrive at a possible reason of pain in your case. Get these tests done empty stomach and at a good lab like srl, Dr. Lal's path lab etc - esr, crp, serum electrolytes, serum vitamin d and b12 levels and serum uric acid levels. Also kindly tell me whether you feel any stiffness in joints when you get up in morning also? do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further assistance. Apply mahanarayan oil to legs before sleeping and morning before bath. Tske hot foamentation. Take Gandharvahastyadi kashayam. 4tsf twice with water. Avoid sprouts, chana dal and fermented foods.

I am 27 years old girl and I am facing so much pain in bottom portion of shoulders (shoulders blade) since four yr. Earlier the pain was very minor but now it became chronic and causing very pain. The pain is like pinning needle and sometimes its like current and in its peak stage goes towards neck also. It interferes in my daily routine works such writing work, sitting and standing for long time, tilting neck backward and downward, holding bags or some packets in hands. Please give me your valuable suggestions to cure this problem.

Pain in the shoulder blades can be caused by bad posture, shoulder overuse, injuries, pinched spinal nerves, lung diseases and disorders of other chest and abdominal organs. The very first thing to do if you develop pain under shoulder blade is to pay attention to how you use your arms and shoulders on a regular basis. Try to stop doing anything that will apply pressure to your shoulders so you can rest it instead. Try to also rest the shoulder regularly, by supporting your back or lying flat. If the pain is from poor posture try to do Shoulder blade retraction exercises to strengthen your upper back muscles. In cases of inflammation from overstretched soft tissues, like muscles, applying ice can help provide relief. Wrap the ice in cloth so it doesn’t directly touch the skin and apply it for fifteen minutes three times a day to reduce pain and inflammation. Applying a heating pad to the shoulder can also help. It will improve blood circulation to relieve pain and speed up recovery. You can only select the right treatment option for pain under shoulder blade after diagnosing the cause. Please see a Physiotherapist to determine the cause and treatment.

I cannot sleep at night. My legs get really restless when I try to sleep. please help.?

Kindly show me digital x rays of ls spine. Rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Spring beds, folding beds or thick matress are harmful use no pillow under the head. Do hot fomantation. Ibuprofen 200mg od & sos x 5days bio d3 max 1tab od x10 do neck, back & general exercises. It may have to be further investigated. You will need other supportive medicines also. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take. Do reply back for detailed treatment plan. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem.
