You have something called as computer vision syndrome. So take frequent breaks while you are working every 20-25 mins take break to look away from screen blink more frequently' level of screen should be below the level of eyes ac should not blow directly on your face. Also get your eyes checked for any spectacle power.

My right eye is continuously twitching and vibrating since last one week. I have been applying a sodium carboxymethyl...
One of the causes of twitching is stress, eyestrain. But yes if it persists even beyond some more days then you will need further evaluation because one of the causes is neurological. There are temporary solutions to it.

You may be having refractive error, which means a sight problem. This can be rectified by wearing glasses. First get your eyes checked by a specialist who will examine your eyes and prescribe the glasses.

Diagnosis and Treatment for Glaucoma

MS, MBBS
Ophthalmologist, Delhi
Diagnosis and Treatment for Glaucoma

Glaucoma: An Overview
This disease can be developed or inherited; it usually refers to the accumulation of fluid inside a person's eyes leading to excessive pressure on his or her optic nerve.

How to Diagnose the Symptoms of Glaucoma:

  1. A Fundamental Eye Examination: An experienced eye doctor will check the dilated pupils of your eyes so as to take a closer look at the optic nerve that further discerns the stage of glaucoma a patient is in. Doctors tend to keep track on the sequential progression of glaucoma and its specific mode of treatment through pictures of the optic nerve taken during an examination.
  2. Tonometry may also be performed: Signs of Glaucoma may be spotted through the procedure called tonometry where the doctor will test a person's eye pressure and so on so forth. A visual field test might also be conducted to check if the patient can see things at the periphery of his line of vision.

Symptoms that will help a doctor identify this condition in people:

  1. A loss of peripheral vision is experienced in the early stages of glaucoma.
  2. A person may see halos when in the presence of bright lights.
  3. Your eyes could turn red.
  4. Hazy or blurry vision is a problem faced by young children affected with glaucoma.
  5. Glaucoma could be accompanied by headaches and eye pain.
  6. An affected person might repeatedly feel nauseous.

Ways to Treat Glaucoma:

  1. Microsurgery can effectively treat Glaucoma: Microsurgery can be performed in various ways. There is one way in which a channel is made to pump out the fluid creating extra pressure on the optic nerve. This method is referred to as trabeculectomy.
  2. Eye Drops: Eye drops can relieve you from painful glaucoma. They are known to control the formation of excess fluid in a person's eye. In some cases, they can induce the accumulating fluid to flow out of the patient's eyes.
  3. Laser Treatment: Laser surgeries can be undertaken to get rid of glaucoma. Laser can help in moving out fluid from the eyes of the affected person. It successfully hinders fluid blockage as well. There are different kinds of laser treatments available to cure glaucoma.

Sir I had eye site of 2.0 nd 1.75, I am wearing specs. But I don't like it, is there any chance to remove specs?

Sir I had eye site of 2.0 nd 1.75, I am wearing specs. But I don't like it, is there any chance to remove specs?
unfortunately there are no natural medications to remove spectacles permanently. you can either try contact lenses or plan for refractive lasik laser surgery Lasik is a simple laser procedure which changes the shape of the cornea so that the light rays fall on the retina properly. It is a painless procedure. It is a day care procedure does not require any injections, does not require admission, you can simply resume your duties in 2 days. Cost varies from centre to centre. Side effects are usually limited to dryness of eyes for few months. We can do lasik anytime after age of 18 years. You need to undergo proper prelasik checkup to decide whether lasik is safe for you or not

I have having pain in my left eye and then this pain reached left side of my brain suddenly it becomes full headache....
This type of headache can ne due to 1. Cluster headache 2. Problems of eye. Get eye check up done by ophthalmogist first. Characteristics of Cluster headache are: 1. Severe unilateral headache around the eyes. 2. Headache lasts for 15 to 180 minutes. 3. There is Redness or watering of eyes/ nose, Eyelid swelling, Severe restlessness or agitation. 4 Headache can occur once every alternate day to 8 per day. This is just a brief outline. In such headache conventional painkillers are not generally effective and specific medicines are to be taken to prevent headache. Most patients get relief by taking oxygen inhalation. You should consult a Pain physician for further evaluation and management.

While using smart phone eyes are getting some pain even within few minutes. What to do to control burning of eyes.

FPRS, DNB Ophtalmology
Ophthalmologist, Pune
While using smart phone eyes are getting some pain even within few minutes. What to do to control burning of eyes.
Here are seven super quick and easy ways to give your eyes a break during your all those smartphone marathon sessions. 1. Blink, blink and blink again. Blinking often (and for more than a second) keeps your eyes moist and reduces dryness and irritation. We tend blink about a third less than we normally would when we stare at our smartphone screens, which starves our poor peepers of protective tears. Keep your eyes wet by blinking about 10 times every 20 minutes or so and you should be good to go. 2. Minimize glare. Unless you have a smartphone equipped with anti-glare Corning Gorilla Glass or use a matte screen protector film, you’re probably coping with a fair amount of annoying reflective glare. 3. Take breaks. Follow 20-20-20 rule. The concept is to take a break from looking at your screen every 20 minutes for 20 seconds while looking at something 20 feet away. Doing so relaxes your eye muscles 4. Adjust your brightness. Having your screen too bright or too dark stresses your eyes out and can cause problems maintaining focus. To eliminate either issue in about a matter of seconds, simply go into your smartphone settings and adjust your screen brightness so it’s about the same as the light level in the environment around you 5. Tweak your text size and contrast. Adjusting your smartphone text contrast and size also provides a little much-needed relief. 6. Keep a clean screen. Routinely wipe down your smartphone screen with a dry (not wet!) cleaning cloth to remove distracting dust, grime, smudges and fingerprints. 7. Hold your smartphone farther away. Try holding yours at least 16 to 18 inches away from your eyes to give your eyes a break.

Dear lybrate user, red eyes could be because of many reasons but commonly it is due to allergy or infection. You need to visit eye specialist to differentiate between the two as the treatment is different. Also get your eyes checked for any glass power.

Now I am getting continues eye irrigation and redness, what I have to do remedy for that.

Fellowship in Comprehensive Ophthalmology, DOMS
Ophthalmologist, Sangrur
Now I am getting continues eye irrigation and redness, what I have to do remedy for that.
Hello there are many causes for redness of eyes mainly allergy, infection, inflammation and dry eyes etc. 1. Redness + itching: allergy 2. Redness + pain + watering + decreased vision: infection 3. Redness + pain: inflammation 4. Redness foreign body sensation: dryness if there is only redness then it is normal as slight exposure to dust, temperature or air or eyes may be red in morning. Stress may also cause redness. I usually do not treat when there is only redness, you can 1. Blink a lot 2. Wash eyes with fresh water 3. Cold compresses 4. Use lubricating eye drop like flogel these measures will help to keep your eyes healthy but it will not have any effect on redness (treating general redness alone is not necessary also) having said that you should consult local ophthalmologist for proper examination and treatment.
