AGEING

MD - Dermatology
Dermatologist, Pathanamthitta
AGEING
After 30's, ageing sets in. It presents in various forms. They manifest as lines, folds, spots, pigmentation. Dryness.
Wrinkles and folds are very common problems seen in early 30s itself. Its due to sun, stress, gravity, undue muscle action. Forehead lines, frown lines, lines at corners of eyes.

The question is - Is there a solution?
The answer - Yes.
Answer is Botox. A wrinkle softener and a fold relaxer.

My Pregnancy test is negative but missed periods which were expected to be on 1st march.

MD - Obstetrtics & Gynaecology
Gynaecologist, Mumbai
My Pregnancy test is negative but missed periods which were expected to be on 1st march.
Pregnancy test should be done only after 7 days of missed period. So if it was expected on 1march then it should be done on 10 march (added 2 days for the feb). If negative then keep repeating it every week till menses comes.

No you need not worry, since you are sure about having protected sex. Taking ipill sometimes very rarely though, can cause irregularity in cycle. However, do one urine pregnancy test to be on safer side.

You need to also get a free T3 and T4 test done to check the levels of thyroid hormones. TSH level should not be more than 3 at this stage. You need to be started on thyroxine (thyroid replacement). Thyroid hormone is important for the baby growth and brain development. With replacement the thyroid hormones should get back to normal.
