This is quite a common condition rule out diabetes & vit. D deficiency or any other metabolic disorder. Sleep on a hard bed with soft bedding on it. Use no pillow under the head. Any way take caldikind plus (mankind) 1tab odx10days paracetamol 250mg od & sos x 5days do back (spine) exercises contact me again if need be. Make sure you are not allergic to any of the medicines you are going to take.

People working in software companies usually work in ACs. They have vitamin D deficiency and calcium deficiency. Due to continuous sitting type of work, they have back muscle weakness. You would need modification of chair if its uncomfortable. Back muscle strengthening exercises. Some medicines You will do fine.

Many of us today have jobs which require extended periods of sitting. Is it good for us? Definitely not.

Research has shown that sitting for prolonged durations has many dangerous effects on our body in the long term.

1) On your back -
The problem: sitting for long hours can cause muscle aches and pains. It can also lead to abnormal bending of your spine which may make one more prone to have long term back pain.
The solution: keep your back straight and maintain proper posture.

2) On your weight -
The problem: according to a recent research, people who say they watch television frequently are 40 per cent less likely to exercise than non-tv watchers.
The solution: get up and get moving.

3) On your brain
The problem: researchers recently found that prolonged session of watching tv before going to bed makes it harder to fall asleep, reduces sleep, and makes one groggy the next day, even after clocking eight hours of sleep. The reason is that the blue light which the television emits, inhibits the release of melatonin, a hormone that helps you go to sleep.
The solution: limit your tv viewing to two hours after work.

4) On your lungs
The problem: among the many health hazards it causes, sitting for long hours can also shrink your lung capacity by a third, so you get less oxygen, which causes a decrease in mental focus the second you sit on the couch.
The solution: sit on a chair with a pillow behind your lower back. It is a position that helps open your lungs.

5) On your heart
The problem: An international study found out that on an average, every single hour of television watching after 25 reduces life expectancy by close to 22 minutes.
The solution: researchers have discovered little mortality risk for people who watch less than an hour a day. Pick a show that's a real brain numbing deal, so you're more likely to need time between episodes.

Avoid weight bearing if knee is painful. Walk with the help of elbow crutches in both hands. Apply elastocrepe bandage and ice over knee. Start physiotherapy. Consult specialist in arthroscopy and sports medicine for further treatment.

Advice…. Hot Fomentation x twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction. Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily Bhujang Asana x 15 timesx twice daily Core Strengthening Exercises. Back Stretching.

Hello, you need to get your vitamin d and calcium levels checked. Generally, the lack of these in your bones can cause such pain. Get yourself exposed to the morning sunlight. Do some exercises to keep them active. Take care.

Most probably your mother is suffering from oa of knee. Knee surgery-total knee replacement (tkr) is quite safe & gives uniformly good results, in our hands.Surgery should be done when patient is still active & will be able to take benefit of surgery. Do not ignore. It could be beginning of a serious problem. Kindly show me x- rays before a final decision can be taken. She will be thoroughly investigated before surgery is under taken. Risk in surgery is less than the risk in crossing road.

Hi, You have to make sure that there is no injury to any tissues in these joints. There is no mentioning of any previous fall or injuries. There are different types of arthritis, joint diseases but those can be easily treated at this early stage. When your digestive system is not working properly for a prolonged duration, many toxins will be produced. These toxins may be accumulated in various joints to cause pain and inflammation in them. So the correction of indigestion is a very important step in treating those kinds of joint pains.

Hello , if you send me your all investigation and x-ray report, then I can solve your entire problem. Till then you can follow these advice- 1. Use rib belt, in case of rib fracture as you told. 2. You can perform various breathing exercises. 3. I am prescribing gentle range of motion exercises for shoulder and elbow joints. Thanks wish you a happy life.

Hi ~apply ice pack for 20 minutes thrice a day. ~wear a brace to support your thumb. ~keep your foot raised above your heart with pillows when resting or sleeping to reduce swelling. ~get plenty of rest and do not put weight on your foot. Still you don't get relief than visit physiotherapist as physical examination/xray may be required for further investigation. Do reply for detailed treatment plan. Wishing you a good health.

You should take Mag Phos 12 x - thrice daily (4 tablets). Additional dose for pain when required. You should also do hot and cold compress alternately till the time you get relief. If this does not helps you - do visit a Doctor to do an examination of the affected area and if require an X-ray also. For further queries get back to me.

Sir i'm 65 yrs old and having both knee joint pain because of osteoporosis for the last five years. Major problem I have while walking but otherwise there is no swelling and I don't take any pain killers. I can stand for 15-20minutes. Please advise treatment except knee replacement. Thanks

You have right to choose treatment. Doctors will advise best treatment for you. If problem is since 5 years, it's high time to get complete relief. You will need replacement either now or in a couple of years. So why do you want to increase your suffering. Knee replacement gives best results.

Hello, My wife met with an accident in jan 2015, got some scratches on her face and knee got admitted into hospital for one day, after her right arm was paining she was unable to lift her hand also, they took X-ray and told that no bone fractures. Day by day the arm pain was becoming more, after 15 days doctor suggested us a MRI scan in which it was reported tendon tear and suggested for surgery in march she had undergone the surgery and was recovering, same time she had the pain in her left knee also and after that doctor suggested for MRI scan for her left knee and then it was a ligament tear and undergone a surgery for that also in June 2015, with the grace of god she was recovering from that also the right knee started paining since from jan 2016 they suggested some tablets and also suggested for physiotherapy, even after that also nothing was improved again early this month they have suggested for MRI scan to right knee and as I said the report was that and again they are suggesting for another surgery we are totally confused what to do now, please help me we really do not want to get the surgery to be done if there is any alternate medication please let us know.

How to Act Now To Avoid Osteoporosis When You Turn 50

Osteoporosis is something that can happen to anyone irrespective of the gender. But yes, females are more prone to it. But then, it can always be avoided by taking care of few things when you are young. And if you want to save your body from having osteoporosis at a later age, which makes your bones brittle and fragile, then you must act now. Let’s see how we can take care of our bones:-

1. Stay away from medicines: You cannot avoid medicines when you are having some serious problem. But don’t make popping pills a habit. Because too much medication isn’t good for your bones. Stopping self medication will take care of this problem largely.

2. Quit Smoking and caffeine: if you don’t want to have bone-related problem then you must quit smoking and cut on caffeine. Along with lung problems, smoking also leads to osteoporosis.


3. Cold drinks: One should completely avoid cold drinks if one wants to save one’s bones. Because of presence of phosphorus, cold drinks are harmful for bones. They not only make bones weaker but brittle too.


4. Eat green vegetables: Eating green vegetables is very good for bones since its has not only calcium but Vitamin K also which reduces the risk of bone fractures. So, the first thing you need to eat in abundance is green vegetables.

5. Regular tests: After 35 years of age, along with taking care of above-mentioned things, you must also have regular bone density tests so that you are also aware of how strong your bones are.

6. Direct Sunrays: Sunrays make our skin tanned. But it’s better to have a tanned skin than to have brittle bones. Isn’t it? Along with calcium, Vitamin D also helps in making bones stronger. Until you take vitamin D, taking calcium alone won’t let you absorb it. So, for absorption of calcium, it’s very important to take Vitamin D.

7. Yoga: Doing Yoga regularly can also save your bones from getting brittle and fragile at a later stage. So, must practice it daily without fail.

L4; 5 with weakness in leg. Its red flag sign. It's indicator of spinal cord or root involvement. Required bed rest with lumbar traction. Neuroprotective ; pain reliever drug treatment with and physiotherapy.
