I am 33 years old female having little bleeding from nose and also from splitting and having temperature.

Certified Diabetes Educator, Registered Dietitian (RD), PGDD, Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (B.U.M.S), General Physician
Dietitian/Nutritionist, Mumbai
There are various techniques to stop nose bleeding: sit upright and lean forward. By remaining upright, you reduce blood pressure in the veins of your nose. This discourages further bleeding. Sitting forward will help you avoid swallowing blood, which can irritate your stomach. Pinch your nose. Use your thumb and index finger to pinch your nostrils shut. Breathe through your mouth. Continue to pinch for five to 10 minutes. Pinching sends pressure to the bleeding point on the nasal septum and often stops the flow of blood. To prevent re-bleeding, don't pick or blow your nose and don't bend down for several hours after the bleeding episode. During this time remember to keep your head higher than the level of your heart. If re-bleeding occurs then you can consult me privately doctor. Do reply back for medication prescriptions. Being also a general physician and registered dietitian, I prescribe both evidence based herbal as well as allopathic medicines complementing with dietary guidelines and home remedies carefully personalized for each individual patient.

It can be due to sinusitis and whenever there is mucous discharge from the nostrils I will suggest you to take one tablet of cetrizine at night and I will suggest you to buy a steam inhaler machine of crescent company and take a flow of steam (of plain water only) over the forehead through the inhaler and can repeat the process after eight hours as and when required.

Hi. I understand your concerns. Sinusitis can also be due to allergy. Best treatment option being steam inhalation and saline nasal douches. You will benefit from intranasal corticosteroids and anti allergy medicine if it is allergic. Consult a pulmonologist /allergist for the same. Hope your questions were answered. Thanks.

When you stand or start suddenly after from sleeping position there is a sudden drop of blood pressure called postural hypotension. You need no medication while waking turn to lateral side then slowly sit for some seconds and then move on. Tab neurobion forte 1 daily 15 days apply oil (til) at knees.

Gargling with warm salt water is an effective way to treat a sore throat. Salt can even help kill the bacteria or virus causing pharyngitis. 1. Mix three teaspoons of salt (preferably sea salt) in two cups of warm water. 2. Gargle with this solution. Do not swallow it. Spit the water out after gargling. 3. Do this several times daily for one to two days. Also take rhus tox 200 - thrice daily for next 3-4 days avoid cold/wetting in rain.
