The solution for this problem is its reduced usage and while using computor use in proper light. There is nothing more effective than controlling usage to reduce and negate the effects. You can also reduce the intensity of the computor screen by attaching a filter or by getting an eye-friendly screen. Above all, one must try to reduce the amount of computor usage or take frequent breaks. Homoeopathic medicine CINELUBE EYE DROPS ( HAPDCO) Pour 2 drops 3 times daily.

I haven't slept for 3 days. Now there are always tears coming from my eyes constantly. What should I do?

I haven't slept for 3 days. Now there are always tears coming from my eyes constantly. What should I do?
There are three possible reasons why your eye is streaming. First, your body could simply be producing too many tears. This is usually because the front surface of the eye is inflamed due to an ulcer or infection. It's not always easy to spot, but it can be treated with antibiotic drops. However, much more likely is a problem with the eye's drainage system, caused by a blockage in the punctum. This is the plughole through which tears drain off from the front of the eye. Each eye has a punctum in the upper lid and one in the lower lid, at the corner of your eye nearest your nose. You can easily see the inner punctum if you look closely in a mirror. A blockage can occur as a result of a cold or mild infection - the hole gets blocked with gunge. It can easily be sorted out by an eye specialist under a local anaesthetic - he will probe the punctum and clear it out. Alternatively, the pipework from the punctum could be blocked - again, perhaps with mucus - or it may be that the punctum is no longer correctly attached to the eyeball. This is common in older people, when the eyelid sags (usually due to stretching of the tissues, which lose elasticity as you age). As a result, the punctum no longer reaches to the surface of the eye, so it can't drain away the tears.

Eye Health - 6 Best Ways To Maintain It!

Eye Health - 6 Best Ways To Maintain It!

Most of us take our eyes for granted. It has been often noticed that an individual splurges on expensive sunglasses for looking smarter. But, when it comes to the health of eyes, he or she is either ignorant or simply reluctant to do anything. This tendency is bad for the health of your precious eyes.

Remember, how you use them to stare at the screens of your gadgets all day long. Take out some time from your busy schedule and take care of your eyes. They are precious and vulnerable too.

Follow the tips below to keep your eyesight intact till your dying day:

  1. Eat right for a good vision: It is very important to provide the right and sufficient amounts of nutrients to your body for developing or maintaining a good eye sight. Include nutrients such as omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, zinc, and vitamins C and E in your regular diet to boost your eyesight. Food items like green and leafy vegetables, salmon, tuna, and other oily fish, eggs, nuts, beans, and other non-meat protein sources, oranges and other citrus fruits or juices and oysters and pork are excellent for the eye. The intake of a balanced diet keeps you away from diabetes, which causes blindness.
  2. Give up smoking: Cigarettes or other tobacco products are bad for your eyes. They make your eyes more vulnerable to diseases like cataracts, optic nerve damage, and macular degeneration.
  3. Guard your eyes from sunlight: It has been found that long exposure to sunlight leads to damage of the eyeballs. This happens as the UV rays in sunlight have an adverse impact on our eyes. You must put on sunglasses when you are outdoors for a longer period. You must choose sunglasses which give you 90 to 100 percent protection against sunlight. UV rays can cause cataracts and macular degeneration.
  4. Avoid the screen: It is advisable to not spend long hours sitting in front of the computer screen or TV. Take breaks while working on the computer. Also, remember blinking your eyes while staring at the screen to avoid drying up of the eyes. Blinking increases tear production, keeping the eyes moist and healthy.
  5. Use safety devices: If you work with hazardous substances, it is advisable that you put on safety devices on your eyes for their protection.
  6. Hydrate your eyes: In order to have a good vision, you must hydrate your eyes by splashing water on your eyes wide open at specific intervals in a day. When you wash your face after returning from outside, don't forget to wash your eyes as well. As you splash water on the eyes, the dust particles on the surface of the eyelid, gathered from outside, gets washed away.

In case you have a concern or query you can always consult an expert & get answers to your questions!

I am suffering for my eyes last two days, some red mark in my eyes and my seen ability is getting lower. Now, what ca...
Redness of the eye is one of the most prevalent problems observed. Redness of the eyes has multiple causes associated with it. To enumerate a few common causes: (1) allergy of the eye. It is usually caused by improper eye hygiene. It occurs with symptoms of pricking, itching, irritation, watering, foreign body sensation and discomfort. There is a tendency to rub the eyes with fingers, handkerchief, cloth, etc. This is not a good habit because it tends to transmit lots of virus, bacteria and dust into the eye. Allergy usually presents with symptoms of watering (clear water), redness and itching of the eye. Thus, eye hygiene remains the principal modality of treatment along with eye drops as a supplement. (2) infectious conjunctivitis: this is usually associated with white-yellowish discharge. There may occur associated pain and sensation of itching, pricking, watering and discomfort. If so, it would be a good idea to go and show to an eye specialist in person. (3) foreign body lodged in the eye. This is more commonly associated with people who drive 2 wheeler vehicles without protection. It occurs more commonly in one eye. Foreign bodies that commonly get lodged are eyelashes, insect wings, small insects, dust particles, iron particles (more common with people working in the iron industry) the solution for a foreign body lodged in the eye would be better provided by an eye specialist at the clinic because it would require immediate removal from the eye and appropriate therapy. (4) raised eye pressure: this is a condition known as glaucoma. It is not so common as the previous mentioned conditions. There is usually associated pain in the eyes. It is commonly bilateral (occurs in both eyes). There is usually a positive family history of glaucoma associated in a majority of the cases. (5) inflammation of the covering layers of the eyeball. This is known as" uveitis" it is also a relatively less common condition. There is associated pain. It would require a thorough eye checkup including the retina-thus a good idea would be to visit the eye specialist in person. (6) increased blood pressure. This has known to cause redness which is also known as sub-conjunctival hemorrhage. The redness in this case tends to be deep dark and usually occurs only in one portion of the eye. In this regard, a complete ophthalmic evaluation and a systemic evaluation is warranted. (7) injury/ trauma to the eye in any form may cause redness of the eyes. This should be taken seriously and assessed in detail by an eye specialist in person. From the symptoms described by you, it seems more likely to be a case of infection (? viral conjunctivitis). Other causes elaborated before should also be checked for in detail. Also, maintaining the precautions and hygiene that I mentioned should probably work well for you. You could use an antibiotic eye drop 4 times in a day and also use a lubricant eye drop along with an anti-histamine eye drop. (3-4 times daily) also, you should undergo a complete eye evaluation in order to rule out other causes. This would be possible only by examining your eyes in person. Hope my suggestions helped you. Take care.

Hello lybrate-user. A 2 year old baby should not be made to watch television! the watering in your girl's eyes may be due to a condition known as congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction. Do not worry. The name is big-the condition is easily solvable. It occurs due to minor blockage of a duct that is responsible for drainage of the tears in the eyes. It would be a good idea to get your girl's eyes examined by an eye specialist in person. He/ she may suggest an eye drop along with some exercise (massage) if required.

Normally the number gets stabilise after 18yrs. If it has not stabilise after that, it can be progressive myopia or keratoconus. No major role of food or any exercise has been established in stabilising the number or improving vision. Kindly consult ophthalmologist to rule out keratoconus. If you want to remove spectacles, you can consider laser surgery.

Eye strain, or asthenopia, is when the eyes get tired from excessive or intense use. It can be annoying, but it tends to disappear with rest. Although it’s not often a serious condition, eye strain could be a symptom of an underlying problem. Eye strain is known to cause fatigue, difficulty concentrating, and headaches Eye strain may lead to other problems, such as: • Headaches • Difficulty Concentrating • Irritability • Burning Sensation • Watery Eyes • Dry Eyes • Photophobia • Eye Pain The first thing you can do is change your environment and work habits. By doing this you can relieve the pain without spending money on treatment. If you work on the computer, try taking more eye breaks by looking down the hall or out the window, or by closing your eyes for thirty seconds. You should get your eyes checked at least once a year, especially as you grow older. Routine eye exams give you the opportunity to discuss with your Eye Specialist any issues you may be having, and they may enable you to catch any problems in their early stages. Age Frequency 0 to 6 months Minimum of once a year 6 months to 18 years Every 2 – 4 years 19 to 39 years Every 3 – 5 years 40 to 64 years Every 2 – 4 years 65 and older Every 1 – 2 years If you spend a lot of time sitting in front of a computer or reading, you may need prescription glasses solely for those activities. Homoeopathic Eyedrop CINELUBE EYEDROPS ( HAPDCO) 3 times daily.

Sir/madam Which typy of glasses i shall use for my eyes ? I sit infront of computer, bike drive both day and night, and now for the sun season. Please suggetion.

Ophthalmologist, Bangalore
Hi, You have to have an eye exam to make sure your eyes are normal and don't have any no. If you do have a small no. It can be incorporated in the glasses which will reduce eye strain for computer work. You can take photo chromatic glasses which will act as sunglasses in the sun. Also go for the anti-reflective coating which help reduce the glare at night.
