You are taking more medications than you require post one year . You should consult your doctor to get your medications reduced . Also you do not require Brilinta anymore

Dear Lybrateuser, - At your age your problem could be due to anxiety - do regular aerobic exercises like brisk walking, jogging, swimming, cycling for 20-30 min, also regularly do yoga & deep breathing to relax your mind & body - have a well balanced diet with more of fruits & vegetables, whole grains, proteins, milk & milk products, lean meats as all are essential to keep the body fit.

yes cholesterol medicine(statin ) can lead to decreased co-enzyme q activity in muscles , as a result of which it can get fatigued easily. what is your lipid levels? there is a naturally acting antilipid agent which can be of help, recently made available in india . if you want to know everything in detail, please consult through lybrate app.

Sir I am 45 years male, I am htn and on 5mg amlodopine, but I am having headache on back side every time. My bp is between 120 to 150 and 80 to 95. Can I increase my dose up to 10 mg.

Considering your age your bp should be <=140/90. If it is above this you can increase your amlodipine dose to 10mg per day or better to keep it 5 mg and add another antihypertensive.

I am 67 years young. Problem is higher level of triglycerides and marginal fasting sugar of 130. But have lot of gas. Some pain in lower back. Not taking any medicines.

Hello, single value of 130 fbs isn't significant. 2 consecutive higher fbs pp2bs value are of significance. Tell me your both fbs & pp2bs values, if both are on higher side, get done hba1c report. Also check your bp. Send your lipid profile report too.

Count heart rate first then take deep breaths for 5 to 10 minutes and again cont pulse rate. If p rate drops to say 80-90 and palpitaion not heard i. E you beat is gone, just do not worry. If you donot feel heart beat during day there are fare chances you are worrying, otherwise talk to a doctor.

1. Eat well – Take a balanced Diet comprising of 45% carbohydrate, 30% protein and 25% protein, plenty of green leafy vegetables, fruits. Don’t over eat. Avoid junk, spicy, oily, high calorie, cholesterol rich diet don’t skip your breakfast. Take warm, homemade food. Avoid food and drink from outside. Don’t skip or postpone your meal. Minimize consumption of refined grains like white rice, white bread, sugary or refined food. 2. Keep hydrated- Drink 2 liters /6-8 glasses of water daily 3. Do regular exercise for one hour daily like brisk walking/Jugging etc 4. Take adequate rest- 7-8 hours of sound sleep in the night is required to remain healthy 5. Avoid stress, anxiety, depression, agitation etc 6. Find time for relaxation and enjoyments with friends and family 7. Practice yoga, meditation and deep breathing exercise to calm your mind, control emotion, improve concentration and relieve stress 8. Develop hobby, Learn new skill 9.Go for detail Annual Health check up

Hi take brahmi vati. Smriti sagar ras and praval panchamrit. Make its powder and mix it. Then take these medicines with honey twice a day. 1-1 drop of cow ghee in both nostrils at night time before sleep. Do pranayama early morning for freshness. Avoid oily food. Junk food. Avoid alcohol consumption. Eat green vegetables. Walk for at least 45 minutes a day.

I am 52 year old person with diabetes and hyper tension. Due sudden death of my father in May, 2015, I also developed symptoms of Chest pain with irritation occasionally. I consulted a senior Cardiologist in Kanpur where at present I am residing. He has undergone at least 06-07 times ECG. Every time it was a normal ECG. But still, I develops chest pain with irritation. The Cardiologist also advised to under CT Angiography test. It was quite normal. Even then some times I develops some Chest pain with irritation without any respiratory problems. Now the same Cardiologist is advising me to undergo Coronary Angiography for further confirmation. My 2D echo test on heart is normal on two occasions. Please advice what to do now and where and whom I should consult.

Follow your cardiologist's advise. And start appropriate drug therapy. In the meanwhile start working on losing at least 20 kg of extra weight by intensive lifestyle modification approach. To achieve weightloss - think long term. Weight loss achieved over short term, always comes back. There is a general approach and a specific approach as per individual patients metabolic profile. Try this general approach for 4 weeks. If this works then continue. If this is not enough then revert for further assessment and customised approach. With customised lifestyle modification approaches, people over 100-150 kg are also losing weight for long term. 1. Do not eat anything sugary or sweet. Zero sweetness in diet. 2. Eat plenty of salad in lunch and dinner along with other foods. 3. Do not drink any liquid calorie like cola or fruit juices. 4. Go for brisk walks or jogging for 45 minutes every day.

Dear lybrateuser, -Your tiredness is due to parkinsons disease, have a nutritious well balanced diet, do regular aerobic exercise for 30 min like walking, swimming, stretching as this will improve your muscle strength, flexibility & balance -get investigations done & start medication, consult a doctor, medication helps improve symptoms rapidly & you will feel much better.

Dear Lybrateuser, - You may have the feeling of missed beat due to stress, anxiety or any other unknown reason - avoid more than 1-2 cups of tea, coffee per day, also alcohol, tobacco, smoking if you do - do regular exercise like brisk walking, jogging, swimming, cycling for 20-30 min a day, also do yoga, meditation & deep breathing for 10-15 min in the morning as it will keep your body fit & calm your mind - sleep well for 7-8 hrs at night, keep your sleep & wake up time fixed, do not nap for more than 30 min in the day if you do so, do not drink tea, coffee late in the evening or aerated drinks as they disturb sleep, a restful sleep at night is the best for the body & heart & will help solve your problem.

Hi, Thanks for your question. I do understand your pain and discomfort. As per your history your problem has many reasons so please follow- 1) Do a blood DC & TwBC 2) Correct iron deficient by taking iron sucrose injection 3 times weekly in 100 ml saline 3) Do ECG and ECHO test to rule out cardiac valve disorders if you have this problem since childhood Follow me after report I hope I was able to address your query.
