The symptoms you have mentioned may be due to allergy or some nasal defect. Dust, vehicular emissions, pollens, chemicals , fumes etc are common causes. You will have to try and make efforts to find out specifically the causative agent and whether you can avoid it. For some nasal defect like Deviated septum you should see ENT Specialist to see for it and make corrections if any. warm salt water instillation in nose, Breathing exercises from Yogasana like deep breathing, Kapalbhati, Anuloma Viloma , Pranaayam etc.

Increase intake of barley flour, horse gram (a type of bean), split green gram, honey, celery seeds, cumin seeds, dried ginger root powder, garlic, bitter gourd and castor oil. Avoid eating fish and milk together or milk and jaggery together Avoid incompatible, heavy, and oily foods. Avoid an improper diet and lifestyle, such as waking up late in the night, suppressing natural urges of the body, and getting direct exposure to cold winds. Go for absolute fasting or rely on a liquid or semi-solid diet for an entire day, depending on your strength. You can follow this with hot fomentation (application of moist heat). This can be done by soaking cloth in warm water and giving a compress over the affected parts or steam bath or taking a bath with lukewarm water. These are the best methods of digesting ama.

It is a medically known fact that tea, coffee, and colas contain a chemical caffeine which is responsible for giving you the feeling of mental and physical alertness. Caffeine is also present to some extent in chocolate.

If you take these beverages only very occasionally,a single cup of coffee can increase your blood pressure by up to 10mm Hg. However if you take it every day, your body gets used to its effects and there may not be any effect on your blood pressure, even in the long run. Women who suffer from low blood pressure will actually benefit from an occasional cuppa.

People who have an established history of heart disease need to be cautious if they take more than 2 cups of coffee and equivalent per day. In the long run, caffeine may increase anxiety and depression.

On the other hand, long-term caffeine intake of more than 2 cups a day may reduce age-related memory loss, Parkinson's disease, liver cirrhosis and onset of diabetes.

1. Soak a cotton swab in lemon juice and apply it on the affected area, leave it there for some time till it dries up. Then rinse it with water. Continue this once daily for few days 2. Apply aloevera gel 3.Apply a thin layer of honey and massage it over the affected area for 10 minutes, leave it for 1 hour, then rinse it with warm water 4.steep a bag of green tea in hot water for 3 minutes. Remove tea bag from water and squeeze the bag to remove excess water. Apply the tea bag over the affected area and hold it for 10-15 minute. Repeat the process 3-4 times daily for few days 5.Consult skin specialist for further advice.

Hello. Kidney stones often have no definite, single cause, although several factors may increase your risk. Kidney stones form when your urine contains more crystal-forming substances — such as calcium, oxalate and uric acid — than the fluid in your urine can dilute. At the same time, your urine may lack substances that prevent crystals from sticking together, creating an ideal environment for kidney stones to form. -Most kidney stones are calcium stones, usually in the form of calcium oxalate. Oxalate is a naturally occurring substance found in food. Some fruits and vegetables, as well as nuts and chocolate, have high oxalate levels. Your liver also produces oxalate. Dietary factors, high doses of vitamin D, intestinal bypass surgery and several metabolic disorders can increase the concentration of calcium or oxalate in urine. Calcium stones may also occur in the form of calcium phosphate. -Struvite stones form in response to an infection, such as a urinary tract infection. These stones can grow quickly and become quite large, sometimes with few symptoms or little warning. -Uric acid stones can form in people who don't drink enough fluids or who lose too much fluid, those who eat a high-protein diet, and those who have gout. Certain genetic factors also may increase your risk of uric acid stones. -Cystine form in people with a hereditary disorder that causes the kidneys to excrete too much of certain amino acids (cystinuria). -Other, rarer types of kidney stones also can occur. Prevention: Prevention of kidney stones may include a combination of lifestyle changes and medications. Lifestyle changes You may reduce your risk of kidney stones if you: Drink water throughout the day. For people with a history of kidney stones, drink 12-14 glasses of water everyday. If you live in a hot, dry climate or you exercise frequently, you may need to drink even more water to produce enough urine. If your urine is light and clear, you're likely drinking enough water. 1 Eat fewer oxalate-rich foods. If you tend to form calcium oxalate stones, restrict foods rich in oxalates. These include rhubarb, beets, bhindi (okra), spinach, Swiss chard, sweet potatoes, nuts, tea, chocolate and soy products. Choose a diet low in salt and animal protein. Reduce the amount of salt you eat and choose non animal protein sources, such as legumes. Consider using a salt substitute. Continue eating calcium-rich foods, but use caution with calcium supplements. Calcium in food doesn't have an effect on your risk of kidney stones. Continue eating calcium-rich foods unless your doctor advises otherwise. Ask your doctor before taking calcium supplements, as these have been linked to increased risk of kidney stones. You may reduce the risk by taking supplements with meals. Diets low in calcium can increase kidney stone formation in some people.

I am 48 years old I am diagnosed with hyper thyroid since 3 years what is the right cure? Please advise.

For hyperthyroidism radioactive iodine or some drugs like propylthiouracil, methimazole (tapazole) are given. Radioactive iodine is taken up by thyroid gland and its functioning is stopped. Later patient has to take thyroxine hormone as a replacement therapy. Anti thyroid drugs have more side effects, may not be preferred. Last resort is surgery.

Hi, to lose weight eat healthy and exercise daily. Eat 3 fruits daily. Salads and soups should be part of your routine. Drink 3 liters of water daily to keep your metabolism high. Ever wake up feeling like your teeth are wearing a sweater? That sticky, fuzzy film on your teeth is called plaque. Living inside of plaque is a whole lot of cavity-causing bacteria. Whenever you eat, that bacteria turns the sugars in your food into acids. Those acids slowly wear away at the hard outer layer of teeth, and eventually, a cavity, or hole in the tooth can form. Plaque is always growing on our teeth, and so it is important to take steps every day to clear it away.
If plaque is left to sit on the teeth, over time it can harden and turn into something called tartar. As tartar builds up, it can push underneath the gums, causing bleeding or irritation, known as gingivitis. Gingivitis is the early stage of gum disease, and it can be stopped with good oral hygiene and simple dental treatments. If left alone, gingivitis can turn into severe gum disease, which can damage the bones holding the teeth, leading to tooth loss.



This all might seem kind of scary, but there’s no reason to stress out. Even though plaque buildup can harm your teeth and gums, it’s surprisingly pretty easy to keep it under control. Here are things you can do to keep plaque from taking over:



Brush after meals. Use a toothbrush with soft bristles, and a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste. Brush for two minutes, making sure to brush the back teeth.
Floss at least once per day. The best time to do it is before bed or after your last meal. Dental floss can target the plaque that’s hiding between your teeth, where a toothbrush can’t reach.
Visit the dentist twice per year for a checkup and cleaning.
