I would suggest you to - get his xray chest done. Get him checked by paediatrician as he might needs antibiotics, cough medicines and nebulisation. Give steam inhalation twice daily. Keep him warm. Keep him well hydrated. Take care.

Is bended penis a serious issue? Is there any nonsurgical treatment of such issue?

Is bended penis a serious issue?
Is there any nonsurgical treatment of such issue?
That’s normal – a very straight erect penis is quite rare. A slight bend to a side is called penile torsion – and is normal. It may also get curved upwards when erect. If you have the typical curve of 30 degrees or less, it shouldn’t cause trouble. But if your curve is more severe or if intercourse is painful, you may be among the 2% of men who have Peyronie’s Disease. It’s caused by scar inside penis. This scar tissue doesn’t expand and that causes the erection to curve. You might need to consult a physician in such cases.

Hello Sir Live in swiss embassy. Age 35 years. I have a problem of snoring. I take my sleep properly but the other one cannot sleep properly and I feel very embarrassing. Pls suggest me the right solution of snoring. I will be very grateful to you.

BAMS
Ayurveda, Bangalore
Hi, Please follow these tips to stop snoring: - Reduce your weight if you are obese. - Perform pranayama (breathing exercises) everyday. - Quit smoking which irritates the mucosal layer of the nose and throat and causes blockage and results in snoring. - Quit alcohol and sedatives which relax the throat muscles and results in snoring. - Sleep on sides instead on back. - Elevate the head by using a thick pillow which eases the breathing. - Clear the nose before going to bed. - Establish regular sleep pattern. - Keep the bedroom air moist by using humidifier; as dry air irritates the mucosal membrane in the nose and throat. - Perform throat exercises like repeating the vowels a, e, i, o, you loudly for 2-3 mins few times a day or keeping the tongue behind the teeth and moving it backwards - 3-4 times a day. - Anti snoring appliances can also be used.

I have psoriasis disease on hands legs and feet Wat should I do for this and how.
Hey lybrate-user, as you are having psoriasis problem on your hands, legs and feet, psoriasis is genetic disorder triggered due to stressful conditions and irregular life style. We are treating psoriasis using ayurvedic medicines. Psoriasis has three stages. First stage is when disease remain on skin and there are scaly patches. Second stage comes when there is pitting on nails and in last stage it enter the joints and there is pain in small joints. Generally patient use steroidal application on patches which give temporary relief and disease reappear after 2/3 days. In severe cases methotrexate is used which is not a safer option and is liver toxic. Ayurveda has got a complete remedy for psoriasis. It is a safer option and can be used for longer duration without any side effects. Ayurvedic external application give very quick results with sun exposure in clearing the scales and internal treatment does not allow the disease to re appear. Psoriasis is a manageable disease and can be managed with ease and effectively using ayurveda. You should use 3 gms of haldi with milk helps in psoriasis patients.

Hi, 25age, consuming alcohol last 6 years, nowadays little avoiding the alcohol, means instead of daily I'm having 2 days in a week, problem is shivering my hands little nowadays. Please suggest I will do, really scared.

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd

I am so glad to hear that you have reduced drinking so much as before. But this is not enough because in time you will again start consuming like before. The hand tremors are a withdrawal effect of suddenly stopping. If you think that you will find it very difficult, then admit yourself to a hospital and go for de-addiction: which normally lasts for about two weeks. Then follow that up with addiction counseling from a professional for at least three years to completely get rid of the habit. If this is also not enough, then admit yourself into a de-addiction center and stay there for at least 6 months and after that attend counseling with a professional. There are medicines that help with the drinking just to ease the initial craving. Ultimately, it is your will power and the support that you receive from the medical fraternity and your close and dear ones. You must also learn to substitute and deal with the oral need, a rigid value system, the script issue, and of course look at all the genetic factors to plan a strategy not to get into what is called ‘cross addictions’ i.e. another form of addiction that may appear alright but is in fact as bad as the primary addiction. The center or hospital and the counselor will advise and guide you on several measures and precautions you will need to take to stay with your resolve. Even after the rehabilitation you must attend AA meetings and continue this support for a long time.

In ayurveda, Hypertension is referred to as Rakta Capa Vriddhi and it sees the vitiation of vata and pitta doshas as the main cause. Mix 1 teaspoon of onion juice with an equal amount of honey. Take once a day for 1 week. Upon noticing improvement, continue for several more days. Take sarpgandha vati twice a day. Yogendra ras. Akik bhasm works very good in case of hypertension. Avoid salty diet. Oily food. Lower your stress. Do pranayama early morning.

Because you sleep in the day time your sleep in the night gets affected. Make a habit to not sleep in the day time. Go to bed at definite time at night. Do some yoga daily before going to bed at night.

Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both. It is a difficult task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolised to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. For the absolute control, one has to monitor his / her blood sugar at regular intervals (Self-Monitoring of Blood glucose – SMBG). Though difficult, this can be done by a glucometer and keep a record. Get an idea of Fasting sugar (FBS) and 2 hours after food (PPBS), & HbA1C (inform me) and check before dinner and after every major food. The basic idea is to reduce the food intake to 1/3 of what you take now. The dictum of sugar control is diet, exercise, diet + medicine and at later stage medicine+ Insulin will be needed. There are different diet plans of varying calories for each person depending on his activity & life style. For diabetes, hypertension (high BP) and many long-term illness control there is the need for regular advice and follow up. Just one time consultation or advice is not enough to guide a diabetic in scientifically & medically correct manner. For giving you regular follow up you ask me with all details like your daily eating pattern and medicines you take. I assure you a proper guidance... if you keep in touch personally.
