Hi, Apply Bakson’s Rheum Aid oil gently (2-3 times a day) and take orally Bakson’s Rheum-Aid syrup/ 1 tablespoon thrice daily. Also, increase your dietary intake of calcium which is present in green leafy vegetables, milk, milk products, sea food, white legumes, dried fig, black-eyed peas, almonds, oranges, seasame seeds. And vitamin D which is essential for absorption of calcium in our body and is synthesized naturally after getting exposed to sunlight, so early morning sunlight for 10-15min. 2-3 times a day is mandatory. Apart from this, do walk daily along with physiotherapy will also help you.

Acne Scars - Dermatology Treatment For It!

Possibly the most common skin problem in the world, acne is the inflammation of the skin pores when excess oil and dead skin cells clog them. Acne can manifest in many forms such as blackheads and whiteheads, and papules among others. More than the acne, the scars they leave behind tend to cause the most grief as they look quite unsightly. There are multiple modern dermatological treatments which can help you resolve this problem. Some of the treatments that are commonly used are mentioned below –

  1. Chemical Peels: This is one of the most common methods used for the treatment of acne scars. Specially mixed chemical formulations are used to dissolve away the top layer of the skin which contains most of the scars. Once the top layer goes away, the new layer of skin which regenerates doesn’t have the scars.

  2. Light Therapies and Laser Treatments: There are many types of laser and light therapies which use a focused light to burn away the top layer of the skin to regenerate it and reduce the scar. Certain specialized lasers use high-intensity pulses to treat raised acne scars specifically.

  3. Dermabrasion and Microdermabrasion: One of the most popular and commonly found treatments, is dermabrasion. This method uses an electrical machine that removes the top layer of skin which is akin to sanding. However, this is a fairly invasive option and will require some time for recovery. A less invasive procedure is microdermabrasion which uses finer instruments for this purpose and tends to have lesser downtime.

  4. Dermal Filler Injections: These injections are used to plump up certain areas of skin which need to be treated. Most of them work on the principle of boosting collagen which is responsible for healing the skin. Once boosted, collagen works to fill gaps and regenerate new skin. However, most of these are temporary and only last for about a year or so.

  5. Incisions Under the Skin: Sub-cision or subcutaneous incision uses a tuned surgical probe to separate the scar tissues of acne from the normal skin. This will result in the skin to rise and thus flatten the dent of the acne scar.

  6. Autologous Fat Transfer: A form of therapy which is becoming popular very quickly, this method uses fat taken from one area of your body and injected into the scar area. This results in raising the depressed areas of the skin and flattening the scars. However, fat is easily absorbed within the body and thus the effect may diminish within some time. You may be needed to redo the procedure over regular periods.

  7. Cryotherapy: The area around the scar is frozen in a targeted manner which results in the scar tissue falling over and exposing newer skin which is smooth and devoid of scarring.

  8. Topical Creams: These are the most commonly available over the counter solutions for acne scars which help reduce their appearance. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a dermatologist and ask a free question.

How To Get Better Sleep?

Maintain Regular Sleep Schedule

Relax Before Going to Bed

You can learn relaxation therapy from a professional, and practice it before going to sleep. Finish Dinner Early
Eating or drinking too much before going to bed may disturb your sleep. Avoid taking a heavy meal too close to bedtime. Don?t eat spicy foods as they can cause heartburn, and make it difficult falling asleep. Don?t take fluids close to bedtime as it can cause nighttime awakenings to go to the toilet. Exercise Regularly
Exercising regularly helps you get sound sleep. However, exercising before your bedtime is not helpful. When you exercise your body temperature increases, and it takes few hours for the body temperature to come to normal levels enabling sleep onset. Finish your exercise routine at least three hours before our bedtime. Exercising during late afternoon is best.
Avoid Caffeine Products Close to Bedtime
When you take caffeine products like coffee, tea, chocolate and colas, the effect of caffeine in it remain for 3 to 5 hours. In case of some the effects will be up to 12 hours later. Avoid taking caffeine products before 6-8 hours of bedtime, to improve sleep quality.
Stop Smoking and Drinking
Nicotine in cigarettes is a stimulant. When one smokes before sleep he suffers from various nicotine withdrawal symptoms. Smoking can cause irregular sleep routines and nightmares. Many people think that alcohol acts as sedative and helps get good night sleep. In fact, alcohol causes restless sleep. Avoid alcohol consumption. First you need a medical check ups if you are suffering from any disease or not.Along with this do regular exercise like yoga,push ups,weight lifting and other muscle building exercise to gain weight.Increase eating.Use bigger plate.Add ghee,butter,cheese,cream with food.Add extra amount of oil in cooking.eat cake,pastries,chocolate,ice cream more.Eat more dense fruits,vegetables,refined foods with unrefined.Take more protein to gain weight.Avoid fast foods as far as possible.No smoking,alcohol.Drink lots of water but not just before or during meals.Take nuts,seeds extra as snacks.Use weight gainer supplement.

Dear lybrate user, pimples/ acne vulgaris is a chronic inflammatory skin disease which develops due to blocking of the hair follicles in skin. These blockages occur due to 4 abnormal processes: 1) excess sebum production due to androgens 2) excessive deposition of the protein keratin leading to comedone formation 3) infection of propionibacterium acnes (p. Acnes) bacteria on the hair follicles 4) local release of pro-inflammatory chemicals in the skin. In order to stop the formation of pimples the aforesaid four causes should be terminated. Now the bitter truth is neither can you stop the overproduction of androgen or keratin protein nor can you stop the release of pro-inflammatory chemicals because all these processes takes place internally in your skin. However you can stop the accumulation of p. Acnes bacteria on your skin by preventing your skin from getting oily. Always keep a handkerchief with you whenever you go outside. You should wipe off the slightest amount of sweat from your face as soon as you perspire on entering your room from outside wash your face with an oil-free, non-moisturizing face wash. Take a low carbohydrate diet. Do some exercise daily. Drink a lots of water to avoid constipation. Avoid pricking the pimples or popping the sebum as it may lead to black pigmentation & permanent scar formation. You can also take homoeopathic calcarea phos 200, 5 drops, thrice daily, in empty stomach also you can apply homoeopathic mother tincture berberis aquifolium q on the dark spots on your skin which are produced after the resolution of the pimples.

While going out you may use sunscreen. You should apply lemon juice on your face at night for one hour and wash it with luke warm water. Do it for five days.

At time of menstruation, while trying to remove endometrium and blood , uterus contracts so you get pain. Pain killer antispasmodic is answer.. But if severe then one has to meet Gynecologist to rule out some pathology.

Hi, thanks for the query. Firstly understand that weight gain is very dependent on genetics and metabolism. It is important to know that just eating just two heavy meals a day will not help. Eating the right foods at the right time is very important. Eat meals at frequent intervals. Eat a mid meal between each main meal. Avoid junk foods. Include dairy, eggs, nuts, fruits in your meals. Avoid alcohol and smoking. Exercise at least thrice a week. Even if you were to take medicines or supplements they will not work in isolation you need to have a calorie and nutrient dense meal.

Backacke can be due to numerous reasons like back strain, big tummy, slip disc, lumber spondylosis. For best treatment please send an x ray image & consult privately. Till then you can do following home remedies: 1) mix camphor in coconut oil and boil it. Massage it followed by hot fomentation. 2) have turmeric & honey milk. 3) put a hot-water bag on back supported by a cushion. 4) add ginger while brewing your tea 5) if you are overweight, go for weight loss program 6) stay away from cold, go for hot water baths.
