You are under stress. There may be a lot of things troubling you and as long as they are not dealt with, you will be under duress. This can trouble you enough to not be able to sleep. That could be the reason for your troubling dreams too. Whatever happens during the night, wake up at a uniform time every day, which should be latest by 6.30 am. Do not sleep during the day or even lie down. Do vigorous exercises daily. Pray before you go to sleep. Learn some relaxation exercises and use them before going to sleep. Sleep on your left ear as far as possible. Eat dinner before 8 pm and try to make it a pure carbohydrate meal. Do not drink coffee, tea, Colas, chocolates, alcohol or any consume stimulants before retiring. Have a cold or hot water bath before going to bed. Make the room as dark as possible, and have a small opening at least for ventilation. Do not sleep directly under a fan. Sleep with the bed facing north. Put some light music with ?sleep? settings. Reduce all other sounds and keep electronic devices completely shut down, not even allowing for LED lights to twinkle. Think of positive and grateful thoughts while lying down in bed. Psyche yourself to simulate or feel tired. Cover yourself well, and spray lavender room freshener for the night. If all this fails, meet with a psychiatrist for some sleeping tablets to use for a limited period of time.

EPILEPSY OR FITS (As laymen say )
***********************************************
Seizure is a sudden change in behavior that is the consequence of brain dysfunction.
Approximately 0.5–1% of population has epilepsy.
ome seizures are provoked i.e. that occur in the metabolic derangement, drug or alcohol withdrawal and in situations like acute paralysis or acute encephalitis. Such patients are not considered to have epilepsy because these seizures would not recur in the absence of the provocation.
Less than 50% of epilepsy cases will have an identifiable cause such as head trauma, brain tumor, paralysis, infection, brain malformation etc.
Having one seizure does not always mean that the patient would always get a seizure.
One episode of seizure may not require treatment.
Hospitalization is required in the first seizure only if it is associated with prolonged post seizure altered level of consciousness.
Patients with unprovoked seizure may not be allowed to drive for some time.
In children, seizure can occur with high grade fever.
In adults, the first episode of seizure may be due to worms in the brain. In such a situation, it may be necessary to do an MRI test.
A patient with seizure can get married, live a normal life and produce children.
It is a misnomer that during a fit you need to make the person smell a shoe.
During epilepsy, never put the fingers inside the mouth of the patient as you could be bitten. Use a spoon instead to prevent tongue bite.
A patient with epilepsy fall will have stiffness in the body; on the contrary, patient with cardiac loss of consciousness will fall loose.
A seizure that lasts for more than 5–10 minutes requires specialized attention.

First of all I would say, this is atrocious. Beating a 4 year old child, atleast 25 slaps at a time. This person needs help psychologically to deal with single parenthood. And also looks like the child is in danger. Please take her to an expert who can work with her and help the child as well. Contact us for further help.

Recently my friend is passed away. So I'm mentally affect them I'm not normal now. What I do?
The loss of a friend is very difficult to take especially if s/he was a young person. This loss will make you feel sad and you must express this feeling to someone who will lend a listening ear. If you have to weep, please go ahead and do so. Crying is very cathartic to grief. All the thoughts, experiences, good times, the shared moments etc. need to be spoken about and this process may take some time but will be very useful to dealing with this loss. A visit to the family and expressing your condolences and sharing your relationships with the person will be beneficial too. Do not wallow in the misery but make it an expressive and sincere experience. Of course in all this the idea is to move the emotion out of your system, and finish with the grieving. You must realize that eventually you must move on and show more importance to the living and those left behind who also need to complete the process. Attend whatever rituals, memorials, prayer meetings, and ceremonies that are held as a method of finishing with the process of grieving. Once these are all done you must focus on life and move on. The vacuum s/he has left behind must be duly filled by another person after some time and you must feel like you have done adequate justice to his/her memory. You yourself must get back to life with a vigor and into routines that are useful to your well being. You can then carry fond memories and live in peace with that.

If it is a still pain it could be because of some underlying infection. Try taking a round of antibiotics. If pain is severe with nausea and vomiting and fever then it could be appendicitis. In any case if it has been there for a long duration get an ultrasound whole abdomen done.

Dear, the duty of your mind is to think. You cannot control your mind's thinking. But certainly you can divert your thinking. You can make your mind to be always positive by engaging in creative activities, hobbies, games and passionate towards whatever you do. Thereby you can reduce your stress and tension also. Once you can do this, loss of proper sleep and stress also can be made normal. Please provide me with more information, I can help you with this. Take care.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. Don't worry. This could just be a momentary problem. From some sort of learning spill. Do not try to advise against it. Do not try to correct the child's behaviour yourself. Just don't do anything and don't mention the stammering to the child and worry her more about it.

Dear , anxiety disorder is not a disease. It is a disorder. Mental disorder not requires medicines. Psychotherapy, life style changes, meditation etc are enough to cure your problem. You must learn and educate yourself about your anxiety disorder. The more you try to" cure" your anxiety, anxiety increases and cure is not possible.

Often I get anger for silly things how can I control my anger. What are the things I need to follow to control my anger can you pls help me out?

Reparenting Technique, BA, BEd

Ask Free Question
If it is of recent origin, which I suspect, then look back and see what has triggered off this reaction. It has to do with anger. When you have identified it you can work to out with a counselor. If not it may be of some past event in your childhood, in which case we may have a more serious problem. You and your parents would do well to visit a counselor and trace the feeling of anger from childhood. This may have a major bearing and could lead to complications if not dealt with soon. Anyway, you must do vigorous exercise everyday and that will expend the energy and leave you with the memory to deal with. You will also need to check whether you are acting angry when you are really scared. In that case you are escalating anger over the fear to cover it up. This will not deal with the fear and you will need to investigate that and deal with that instead. It is not advisable to ‘ruminate’ over this feeling as it will feed into an impulse and you may lose control over that and do something inappropriate. None of the feelings are to be controlled. The way you express them has to be appropriate. Now anger is pure energy and people mistakenly think that they must express anger violently, or aggressively, or they can damage something, or throw a fit, or kill, or hurt, or withdraw, etc. These expressions can be followed, if they are appropriate to the situation. You can instead simply talk about the feeling, write about it and share it with someone who understands; scream and shout in a situation which warrants it and so on. When the expression is most suitable, the repercussions are minimized and the other person tends to understand and is willing to apologize and sort out the matter. Many of us are inclined to worry about the consequences of expressing anger and use fear to suppress the legitimate expression. You can exorcise your anger out of your system by exercising, but it is the energy that is expended not the feeling. Unexpressed feelings will hurt you back by clinging on to a favorite organ and troubling it enough to cause it to malfunction or lead to its total dysfunction. You can also hand over the feeling to God, if you are a spiritual person, and very effectively too. All feelings must be expressed without exception.

Children are in real depression when they do not get a thing which their friend have---------------------we can overcome this condition by teaching true values to our children and convince them about whether that thing is important and useful for them or not-------------------
