Pain that radiates down the arm, and possibly into the hands and fingers, is frequently caused by a cervical herniated disc or foraminal stenosis pinching a nerve in the neck. The pain may be accompanied by numbness or tingling in the arms and/or hands. The symptoms may start suddenly or develop over time. The approach to treatment for a cervical disc herniation is guided by how long the pain lasts, pain intensity and the degree to which the cervical nerve and/or spinal cord are affected. Most commonly, the symptoms are temporary and can be treated successfully with nonsurgical care (such as medication, physical therapy, manipulations. I suggest you to go for a radiological report of your cervical spine first. There is no point in treating without diagnosis. Kindly go for mri p. S. = texting a lot or using smartphone all the day can be a pain in the neck too regards!

I am 25 year male and I have feel pain in my right chest when I stretch my arm. What should I need to do?

I am 25 year male and I have feel pain in my right chest when I stretch my arm. What should I need to do?
Right sided chest pain is usually not suggestive of heart problems if it is associated with itching or scratching if it associated with a chainsaw scratching it can be some form of allergy or infection but we need to assess other symptoms and others factors to get to a diagnosis for example if you have a history of smoking drinking or strong family history of heart problems diabetes hypertension then you should get your cardiac evaluation done to rule out heart problems which should include an ECG 2D echo and TMT and if you have some kind of Rash or boys for blister on your arm or chest and history of fever then you may have infection or allergy which needs to be treated for me when get some rest on its own so I suggest if your symptoms seem to be increasing then you should consult a nearby physician because only after physical examination we can be sure of its origin.

How To Avoid Running Injuries?

MPT, BPT

How To Avoid Running Injuries?

If you are an avid runner, then you might also be well aware of the type of running injuries one is prone to. It might be foolish to say that running injuries can be prevented. It is because these injuries do happen quite often. Though these cannot be prevented, these can definitely be treated. Furthermore, precautions from your side can always be taken to make sure that these injuries do not cause a major impact on your health and can be cured without much of a hassle. Here are some important points that you need to remember to avoid running injuries or to lessen their adverse impact on your body.

  1. Flexible Body: Flexibility is an important part of a runner’s body. You not only need to have the stamina to run, but also must possess flexible features to get you out swiftly from any serious damage. Flexibility is attained when you do regular exercises and stretching in particular. It makes your muscles resilient towards many injuries and provides your body a better shape and long lasting stamina as well.

  2. Strengthen Your Body: Body strength is required if you want to avoid any sports injuries. Special strength training sessions are organised with the coaches of sportspersons. These sessions help in building up muscle strength. This would, in turn, lessen muscle fatigue and make you able enough to perform better.

  3. Balanced Diet: It does not matter whether you are an athletic or not, a balanced diet is needed for everyone. Balanced diet does not mean picking and choosing of food. It means a proper diet chart, mapping everything that your body needs to stay fit. Furthermore, it should contain ample amount of water to keep you hydrated.

  4. Take Rest When Required: It is often said by the elders that too much of work would ruin your health and body. Thus, even for the athletes, it is important to take rest in between periods of heavy training sessions. This would give you a chance to relax your body and relieve you of all the stress. Furthermore, if you are injured or hurt, it would give you ample time to recover from your injuries.

  5. Wear Proper Shoes: As a runner, you need to take care of all parts of your body. This would also include your legs. To prevent any sprains or muscle injury in the leg and to practice for long hours, proper running shoes are needed. If you wish to discuss about any specific problem, you can consult a Physiotherapist.

Hello, there are multiple reasons causing back pain, consult a physiotherapist to analyze exact reason of your back pain and also to cure it at root cause level. Meanwhile you should understand the pain causing activities and should avoid it till you are being treated and advise from your physiotherapist. Also starting any exercise without being diagnosed can lead to severe consequences. Meanwhile take rest, avoid biking and apply ice for 8-10 minutes on the painful area daily thrice.
