First of all check your posture when you are lifting any material like heavy bucket. And try to lift the heavy bucket without bending your back. You may lift the bucket after bending your knees only. This will definitely help you. * gentle massage with lukewarm mustard oil of your waist area will also give you relief. * surya namaskar is only exercise which you need to do. * in diet vegetable protein of cereal, b complex supplements and half teaspoon of haldi in a cup of milk for seven days will give you enough relief.

please check your relaxing posture in bed, you are not resting your neck On hard board of bed head or correct your sleeping posture avoid too much neck down work on computers

I found complete tear of ACL of my left knee in MRI. Now if I will operate it by arthroscopy will be be harmful for future life or not. The screw which will fit at the drilled portion of bones are generally of which material and in your view which metal screw will be the best one to fix as these screw will remains inside till my death.

Hello Mr. Lybrate-user. My suggestion is that if you have complaints of difficulty in walking or climbing down stairs then its better to get your acl operated arthroscopically. Also this surgery is very commonly done and you will be benifitted by this procedure with great long term outcome the screws used are either of titanium alloy or biodegradable (depending on patients choice). Biodegradable screws are made of poly l lactic acid (plla) which are completely absorbed by body in span of 2 years approx without side effects.

X-ray must its arthritis so tk calcium supplements and heat fermentation twice a day keep a towel roll under knee and press for 10 second then release do 15 times in a once time. If it work then ok otherwise tk physiotherapy treatment must for you avoid long standing, squatting, cross legs. After relief start quadriceps exercise in gradually process it will help you.

Hello, first of all you should know what is backache and by which factors it caused and aggravated. The usual cause of low back pain is the sedentary lifestyle that we lead these days. There is hardly any movement. walking, running and cycling like activities are also not a part of our daily routine. To add to it, our diet consists more and more of junk food. Fresh fruits, vegetables and high fibre foods are consumed less and less. These daily practices lead to obesity. The increased body weight puts lot of pressure on the spine which has to bear all the extra unwanted weight. The back muscles which are already weak due to lack of exercise and wrong posture are unable to cope with this increased load. This causes pain in the back muscles. Management for Back Pain:-Along with medicines for relieving pain, one needs to identify the cause and correct it. This may require some medicines or some correction in your posture or reducing weight or improving your lifestyle. At the same time, there is a need to work on the local muscle strengthening. Back muscles need to be strengthened so that they can bear the weight of the upper body. For this exercises of the back muscles are very helpful. Regular walking is also very helpful as it is a wholesome exercise of the body, improves blood circulation and helps lose weight. Most importantly if you are overweight then losing weight is an important part of the whole treatment plan .Long term use of painkillers for low back pain is harmful Treatment for back pain:- Homeopathic medicines are very helpful. Extension exercises x 15 times x twice daily. Bhujang asana. Core strengthening exercises. Back stretchingstretch do the cat/cow avoid bending in front. Postural correction- sit tall, walk tall. Apply hot fomentation.

I am 26 old boy and I am suffering from back pain since 2 years fastly I was told I am having ankolysing spondylitis but other doctor told it is just osteoporosis my xray of spine shows little syndesmophytes at d12-l1, l1-2, l2-3, l3-4 my sacroiliac joints are normal .i had been doing regular exercise and medications and ind I am 70% good but still I am not able to bend forward ,not able to wake up without support basically the main problem is not able to bend forward I think my lower spine is stiff I haven't got any fractures please help me to cure it.

Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day.

Ra and oa are having different pathological sitations. And both are not allowed to much excercises because it can aggravate the situations further. Hence mild exercises are allowed.

I am 61 years and am obese weigh 100kg. And 5.7" Is it safe for me to have this surgery or is there some other way I can loose weight. I have suffered a minor stroke last year and a minor heart attack about 13 years back. I have 7 dislocations in my back! rest, I am fine!

Try loosing weight by diet, otherwise go for surgery, remember every surgery carries some risks. Doctors cannot recommend many exercises, you need to eat healthy with lots of seasonal fruits and vegetables, little fats, less carbs but more proteins like toned milk.
