There are several types of caps metal, porcelain fused to metal and tooth coloured all ceramic ones. They are ranging from 2000 to 12000. It depends on your budget what kind you would like to go for.

Hi, there are various reasons of bad breath, like impurities in blood, inefficient digestive system, dry mouth (lack of saliva production), gum disease, cavities, plaque and tartar formation around teeth and gums, kind of diet, improper brushing / cleaning of mouth etc. I would advise you to get a thorough physical and dental examination to rule out the cause of bad breath and to solve it permanently.

Hi lybrate-user, Irregular brushing technique with a worn off brush will certainly cause the tooth abrasion, gums to recede & thereby resulting in root exposure. Exposure of (dentin or cementum) layer of the tooth or trauma to the root nerve tissue causes Sensitivity or pain. Adv cleaning and artificial enamel filling or root canal treatment with a cap for deep abrasion. Floss all your teeth inter dentally & brush twice daily, morning & night, up & down short vertical strokes, with ultra-soft bristles, indicator brush. Tooth brush to be changed every 2 months. Apply a desensitizing paste on the teeth. Wait for 10 to 15 min until you brush your teeth with the same paste. Applying it overnight will be better. Treatment required is need cleaning, desensitizing procedures artificial enamel filling and / or root canal treatment. Overlapping also cause pain due to pressure exert on other tooth. You may consult me in person.

Causes and Symptoms of Dental Abscess

BDS
Dentist, Mumbai
Causes and Symptoms of Dental Abscess

Dental abscess is characterized by pus formation in the teeth or the gums. This infection may occur either in the gums or the tip of the tooth. It usually occurs due to a bacterial infection which may enter the mouth through food, thus causing accumulation of plaque. If the plaque is not removed by following proper dental hygiene, then it may result in abscess.

The various factors that increase your chances of getting affected by dental abscess are a sugar rich diet and poor oral hygiene. You should brush your teeth to prevent symptoms of dental abscess. A diet that has too much sugar may lead to cavities that increases your risk of dental abscess.

Dental abscess may be classified into three types

  1. Periodontal abscess: This type of abscess occurs in the bone structures in the teeth
  2. Gingival abscess: This type of abscess occurs in the gums
  3. Periapical abscess: Periapical abscess occurs in the soft areas of the tooth

Causes:
Entry of bacteria through holes in the teeth may result in breaking down of the soft tissue under the enamel. The infection may result in the hole to penetrate the pulp in the teeth. The bacteria thus infects the bone present in the teeth causing Periapical abscess. The bacteria that infects as a result of plaque accumulation may lead dental abscess. This may also lead to formation of gaps in the teeth leading to infection in the inner areas of the teeth.

Symptoms
The symptoms of dental abscess are:

  1. The teeth may become sensitive to hot and cold temperatures
  2. Pain during chewing food
  3. A persistent pain in the jaw that radiates to the ear
  4. You may experience a swelling in the face and the neck
  5. Tenderness in the lymph nodes in the neck
  6. You may experience symptoms of fever
  7. Presence of foul smelling fluid in your mouth

Dear lybrate user, the reason for extra growth of gums can be history of any trauma to gums or poor oral hygiene. If you want to take proper treatment for that, first you have to go for oral cleaning or prophylaxis. If it is not reducing you have to go for excision i. E. Removal by cutting it from base.

I am 22 years girl. Now a new teeth grown 2-3 days before so pain my total mouth. What is the any solution of this problem?

BDS
Dentist, Ahmedabad
It's not a new tooth. It's a wisdom tooth which comes after the age of 18 only. For wisdom tooth : If the wisdom tooth has erupted fully and in a proper position then we can save it by dental cement filling. If the cavity is deep and near or into the pulp then we can save it by root canal treatment. Ideally we should save natural tooth structure if its fits in above criterias. If the wisdom teeth has erupted in a such way that it's disturbing other tooth structures and we don't have any option left for saving it then only you should go for removal. The wisdom tooth usually causes pain because of its uneven position distrubing adjacent teeth and some times swelling of the tissues around the tooth causing pericoronitis ( i.e inflamation of the surrounding soft tissues ) causing pain. Wisdom tooth which is usually considered as an extra tooth having no role in mastication (i.e chewing of food) On other hand removal of wisdom tooth have much advantages rather than any disadvantage.. Retaining wisdom tooth some times results in food lodgement within and between adjacent tooth ,results in caries ( decay ) of the adjacent tooth. So for improper erupted wisdom tooth, removal is the only and best available option to the date. Which in turn also helps in preserving other tooth structures. Jay Swaminarayan.

Drinking a glass of water (250ml.) mixed with a tablespoon of honey is very beneficial for the teeth. You can even replace your morning tea with this drink. It acts both in prevention of and in curing dental problems.

It's a dry socket! sir, it's because during the healing period the clot which was forming was disturbed either due to excessive gargling, spitting of blood soon after teeth removal, smoking or touching the area very often with your tongue. Please visit an oral surgeon who would give you a zinc oxide pack. Keep the warm saline water goin on.

In my teeth a black spot like hole is found and one of the front tooth is loose from the gum how to get rid of that. ...
The black spot you see must be a carious tooth which can be a problem to you later on as a painful tooth so you must go for the restoration with tooth matching laser filling. Second problem of loose gum must be due to the periodontal problem of either improper brushing or you must be needing a complete oral prophylaxis.
