The most common form of alopecia areata treatment is the use of corticosteroids, powerful anti-inflammatory drugs that can suppress the immune system. These can be administered through local injections (most common), topical ointment application, or orally. Other medications that can be prescribed that either promote hair growth or affect the immune system include Minoxidil, Anthralin etc. You need to visit your dermatologist for proper treatment.

Hello, Take 1 cup of green tea in the evening daily. Do Surya Namaskar , yoga asans like Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose), Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand Pose),Vajrasana (Diamond Pose), Pavanamuktasana (Wind-Relieving Pose), Matsyasana (Fish Pose) Avoid sweets, oily, spicy, junk food, chocolates. Drink plenty of water daily. Eat good quantity of green vegetables, salad and fruits.

The total cholesterol need to be controlled. You need a scheduled diet plan and start taking olive oil in regular use as soon as possible.

1. Use mild shampoo to wash hair (you can make your own shampoo using reetha and shikakai at home) 2. Stop using conditioners. Use natural conditioners like Egg, Yougurt and Lemon. 3. Massage your scalp with a mix of oils like olive, coconut, sesame, castor oil at night. 4. Apply raw amla juice on hair thrice a week. 5.Rub your scalp with the juice of white onion. 6.Use a paste of bhringraj on hair. 7.You can use some good hair packs like - fenugreek and yogurt, egg and green tea. 8.You can rinse your hair with organic apple cider vinegar after washing your hair to maintain ph balance of your hair. 9.Hair health depends on the amount of protein in your diet. Foods like chicken, eggs, fish, nuts, dry fruits gives you the required nutrients to keep your skin and hair healthy. So consume plenty of them. Eat things rich in Vitamin C like amla and oranges. 10.Drink lots of water to flush out toxins from the body.

I was checking tips related to teeth on Lybrate and floss is recommended at a lot of places. Few of these questions popped up in my mind : 1. I am curious why it is not common in India? 2. I watched few videos on youtube to learn the proper way to floss. After watching the videos I felt like it will be loosen the gums as one is putting the pressure on them also. Second I felt like it will start thinning the enamel also from the teeth. I am worried unnecessarily or care should be taken while flossing?

Remember flossing is to be used only for cleaning the between the teeth areas and is used to prevent the deposition of food particles which can lead to infection and has to be used cautiously and even in india though slow the trend is picking up and remember if you have already loose teeth than not to be done and it won't thin the enamel lining.

Hi, Your body is a gift of God. I know these days finding time is difficult. But you can pull out 30 mins daily in the morning somehow. Make it a habit for life. It will make your life better and make you fitter. Apart from that cut down your daily oil and sugar intake. 4 teaspoons oil and 4 teaspoons sugar maximum in one day no more. Eat more fruits drink more water. Avoid outside food. Right now your weight is Ok, it is not too much but weight gain happens slowly. Today you can build healthy habits which will last you forever. Hello, please use a mild cleanser like Cetaphil or Moiz as facewash twice a day. Use mild soaps like Pears or Dove. Keep bath time short. Apply Elovera or Venusia moisturiser immediately after bath and in evening. Avoid hot water baths.

1.It is due to abnormality in immune system. It could be due to emotional stress, dugs like anti hypertensive (b blockers), anti malarial like hydroxyl chloroquine, ibuprofen. 2. It runs in families. 3.Skin cells multiply 10 times faster-raised red plaques covered with white scales. 4.mostly affect knees, elbow,scalp. Symptoms -plaques of red skin often covered with loose silver coloured scales wich may be itchy, painful and sometimes crack/bleed, disorder of finger nail/toe nail with discoloration and pitting of nails, sometimes nail may fall out from nail bed, plaques of scale or crusts in scalp. May be associated with psoriatic arthritis. Treatment-steroid based cream/salicylic acid ointment/topical retinoids (vitamin A Prepn)/coaltar ointment/shampoo/calcipotriene topical ointment. With treatment lesions can subside after few months Consult skin specialist for advice and treatment.

Hello, The food what and how you eat, makes the difference! For increasing your weight, concentrate on the below points ( if you don’t have any medical condition) which helps in gaining weight in a right way without harming your body. - Consume more healthy fats. Foods containing healthy fats are full of nutrients and also high in calories, making them a great option for weight gain. Foods containing plant fats should be your first option - this includes items such as nuts, seeds, peanut butter, avocados and olive oil. Foods containing healthy animals fats include lean meats and full fat dairy products - although if you have high cholesterol, you should probably stick to low-fat options. -Eat more protein. Good sources of protein include lean meat, fish and poultry, in addition to eggs, whole grains, dairy products and legumes. -Drink more calories. Try drinking a large glass of orange juice in the mornings (along with your normal breakfast). Drink a glass or two of full-cream milk throughout the day.Protein shakes will help you to gain muscle mass, particularly if you're working out. -Have 6 small and frequent meals in a day. -Gain muscle mass. It's a good idea to continue to exercise while you attempt to gain weight the healthy way. Strength training includes working with weights and performing exercises such as squats, deadlifts, bench presses, bicep curls, crunches, chin-ups and leg curls. Just keep in mind that the more you exercise, the more calories you will need to consume to replace those you lost while working out. This is where protein shakes and bars really come in handy. -Quit smoking. As it suppresses the appetite. -Stay healthy. The most important thing through the entire weight gain process is to stay healthy - eating a balanced diet and continuing to exercise throughout. -Take enough of rest and sleep for rejuvenation of the cells and tissues. -Think Positive which will help you in achieving your target of gaining weight. -Avoid taking unnecessary stress/ tension. Medication: Take Schwabe’s Alfaalfa Tonic and Five Phos., both thrice daily ½ an hour before meals for 1month.

Dear excessive weight gain occurs only when calories intake are more than calories burnt, It can put a person at risk of thyroid disease, diabetes , kidney problems, arthritis etc... Dear to decrease weight you have to do work out daily. Try the remedies below they can help u. 1. Mix three teaspoons of lemon juice, one teaspoon of honey in one glass of water. 2. Drink it in the morning on an empty stomach daily. 3. Drink mint tea or make a paste of green mint with some simple spices and eat during meals. 4. Eat vegetables such as bitter gourd and drumsticks to control obesity. 5. Do bhujang asana, dhanurasana, naukasana, kumbhakasana, pavanamukthasana daily 5 min per asana. 6. Do brisk walk early morning daily and join aerobics in evening. 7. Avoid oily and fried foods, processed foods, fatty foods like butter, purified butter, cheese, whole-milk yogurt, cream, chocolate, etc. 8. Replace refined flour with whole-wheat flour and rice with brown rice or parboiled rice. 9. Drink three litres of water daily

Apply Hot Fomentation twice daily. Avoid bending in front. Postural Correction- Sit Tall, Walk Tall. Extension Exercises x 15 times x twice daily - lying on tummy, take left arm up for 3 seconds, then bring it down, right arm up for 3 seconds, bring down. Bring right leg up, hold for 3 seconds, bring it down. Then right leg up and hold for 3 seconds and bring it down. Repeat twice a day- 10 times. Bhujang Asana – Lie flat on your stomach, keeping the palms out, bend the neck backward, take a deep breath and while holding it for 6 seconds, raise the chest up. Release breath and relax your body. Repeat the exercise 15 times twice daily. Core Strengthening Exercises- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Back Stretching- lie flat, pull one of the knee forward to chest, hold for 3 seconds, then bring the other knee forward to the chest and again hold for 3 seconds. Then pull both knees towards the chest and hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 10 times each exercise twice a day. Do the cat/cow stretch. Get on all fours, with your arms straight and your hands directly under your shoulders; your knees hip-width apart.

It appears the submucosal fibroid is creating problems. You should consider a hysteroscopy which is a minor surgery to assess the uterine cavity and the nature of the fibroid. This should be combined with a endometrial biopsy and resection of fibroid if possible.

I am 70 yrs old was suffering from cad stents have been placed 5 yrs back since 5 yrs I have been taking medicines such as ecosprin, dilzem, atorvastin, cordorone, cardace etc since last yr my condition is stable a farigal pouch is there in my food pipe near thtoat I want to get steppleing of for that dr says because the madicines has to be stopped for a week it is not advisable but that pouch is giving prob as food part stuck up in that. Although there is no specific treatment for the same but I will advise you certain steps u should follow. May be these can help, drinking water before, during and after meals. Eating small bites of food. Chewing thoroughly before swallowing. Avoid talking while eating. Eat slowly. Walk, stand and sit upright for at least 30 minutes after eating. You can also take a homoeo medicine along with nux vomica 30 ( dr. Reckweg ) 1 drop in 1 spoon fresh water twice daily. Report me after 2 monthss

You can have sex anytime but 1. During periods it is safe for pregnancy concern but hygiene must be maintained. 2. Sex 8 days before and after first day of periods is safe in a 28 days cycle. 3. Hygiene and precautions should be taken.

Shivering is a part of physiological manifestation of anxiety. It can just be a normal trait which if is an isolated presentation may not actually require treatment. However, given that you have had multiple such attacks, it may indicate towards an anxiety condition of which there are many. For a proper treatment, the trigger for anxiety, frequency, type of clinical presentation, associated medical conditions etc need to be identified and keeping all these things in consideration, then a suitable form of treatment has to be decided which can be just a simple relaxation technique or a behavioral intervention, CBT technique or psychopharmacological intervention or a combination of some of these. Best call for you would be not to diagnose the issue by yourself which several people try to do and instead visit a qualified psychiatrist. Mostly a proper treatment will relieve you of your symptoms. Wish you all the best.

Hello, developing facial hair is indicating you getting problems in menses and its irregular. Better do not use oral contraceptive pills, just go for condoms if possible. Its because you are getting harmed in either way.
