Please ensure that you follow all the good practices which will help you to balance every thing and thereby maintain good sugar control. Please avoid junk food, processed and packaged food and outside beverages. Of-course you can eat a bit of sweet or cake occasionally. Be careful about the calorie intake and exercise every day. Adapt yoga and pranayam into your routine life for better control and coordination of the mind and body. Have more of natural food products (fresh fruits and vegetables) and avoid packaged food items. Go for regular health check-ups and follow up with your doctor. Read about healthy lifestyle and adapt the good habits that appeal to your nature. (Health magazines and the internet are great sources of knowledge if you do not expect shortcut methods to help you.) Understand the importance of being healthy and balance your routine accordingly. You can revert after that for further clarification or feedback.

I am 57 year old and suffering from diabetes type 2 and also having BP and I got an operation of angioplasty in 2012 and I am taking medicines as follows: Zoryl M2 Forte, Teniva 20, Starpress H 50 XL, Deplatt A 75, Consivas 10, Depof 37 But my diabetes is not in control what to do?
Mr. Lybrate-user, what are present fasting, pp and hba1c% readings? that will give me an idea about what kind of control needs to be established or any additional treatment to be given. Also inform bp readings. Plus looking at your weight and height your bmi is 27.18 kg/m2, signifying over weight. Your ideal body weight should be about 59 kgs. Tis als contributes to improper control due to increased insulin resistance. Weight reduction will also take care of acidity and bp control.

Hello doctor, Mere boyfriend he is only 25 years old weight 55 kg or use is year diabetes ho gya. Please doctor kuch advice kre ki wo kya khaye or kya na khaye. Please help. Thank you.
Hello, if diabetes is diagnosed, is it t1 or t2? because treatment varies in both. T1 will need only insulin injections, t2 can be treated with oral anti-diabetes drugs. Sometimes insulin is used if blood sugar is very high (350 o 400 mg & hba1c%9 plus). Anyway, he needs to be put on appropriate treatment first and blood glucose has to be brought under control. Secondly he should avoid sweets, deep fried foods, junk foods, pastries, other bakery items, sweetened aerated drinks (colas), fructose corn syrup containing products, highly processed food products, high fat milk products. Should stay away from smoking and alcohol. Consume more of green leafy vegetables, salads and permitted fruits (100 g a day). Total caloric intake has to be based on ideal body weight, extent of daily exercise and blood glucose levels. If you have any specific doubts please come back. Thanks.
