I feel sleepy all the time. From around a week I do not get sleep till 2 or 3am and I keep sleeping in the mornings. I'm also very tired these days. All my routines have been disturbed due to this. What is the problem that I'm facing?

Hye. Thanks for the query. Summer can not only dehydrate you but also draw you off of energy and stamina, making you feel unwell and feeling low. A healthy and balanced diet is essential, especially in the summer. The summer heat deprives our body of all the energy. Excessive perspiration in summer results in dehydration. Rehydration is essential irrespective of the activity levels and thirst pangs. Liquids at very cold temperatures should be avoided. Increased consumption of very cold liquids, results in the constriction of the blood vessels. This in turn reduces the loss of heat which is essential in summers. Holy basil seeds/ tulsi seeds added to water or fruit juices proves an effective cooling drink for the summers. Soft drinks contain added sugar, preservatives and colors. Therefore fresh fruit juices without added sugar are preferred in summers. Fried foods, such as french fries, potato patties, chips, samosa, wada pav should be restricted thereby reducing the thermal effect of fat. A light and healthy meal will make you feel comfortable. Avoid very spicy foods. Whole fresh fruits supply a good amount of water, in addition to minerals and vitamins. A bountiful supply of vegetables and fresh fruits are beneficial. Lemon juice, barley water, butter milk and tender coconut water are the best sources of hydration.

Hye, thanks for the query. Being underweight can be a concern if it's the result of poor nutrition. Here are some healthy ways to gain weight when you're underweight: eat more frequently. When you're underweight, you may feel full faster. Eat five to six smaller meals during the day rather than two or three large meals. Choose nutrient-rich foods. As part of an overall healthy diet, choose whole-grain breads, rice and cereals; fruits and vegetables; dairy products; lean protein sources; and nuts. Don't fill up on diet soda, coffee and other drinks with few calories and little nutritional value. Instead, drink smoothies or healthy shakes. Snack on nuts, dried fruits and fresh fruits. Even when you're underweight, be mindful of excess sugar and fat. An occasional slice of cake or ice cream is fine. But most sweets should be healthy and provide nutrients in addition to calories. Sheera, lassi and chikki are good choices. Exercise, especially strength training, can help you gain weight by building up your muscles. Exercise may also stimulate your appetite. Try to eat at regular intervals. This will help improve hunger. Poor eating timings, too much junk or overeating in a single meal causes indigestion and poor hunger later.

PIMPLE Never pick or pop pimples with your fingers, as it can lead to infection and scarring. A dietary therapy with the right medications for pimples can also help a lot. Kojic acid (a natural skin lightener derived from mushroom extract), arbutin (also called bearberry extract), and vitamin C (ascorbic acid) are great alternative ingredients to lighten scars left by acne. Don't use vitamin E on scars. You may have heard that applying vitamin E to a scar will help it heal faster. Uterine prolapse means, in lay term ,coming down of whole or part of uterus in or out of vagina. That is further classified as degree of prolapse. The degree of prolapse decides the type of surgery to be performed .It can be simple repair of prolapse or total removal of uterus with repair.

If the problem is chronic, please investigate thoroughly. If there is no anatomical problem, there are few ayurved panchkarma treatments to help you with chronic cold. Regarding overweight- one has to be consistent in work out and reduction in diet while balancing nutrition. Walk is the best form of successful results in weight loss. Walk for minimum 60 min and reduce oily, fried, sweet and high carbohydrates in food. Small meals and early dinner. Good luck.

Follow the following medication and guidelines----Start the treatment with single dose of Tuberculinum 1M.After 1 week of this take the below:- * First week- you should take Baryta carb 1M, 5 drops , single dose, morning empty stomach. *second week- take Thuja 1M,drops, single dose , morning empty stomach. *third week- Again take Baryta carb 1M, 5 drops, single dose, morning empty stomach. *fourth week- take Thuja 1M, 5 drops , single dose, morning empty stomach. *Take Rite -hite tablets from SBL,2-2 tabs , two times daily. *Bio combination no. 21, 4 -4 tabs daily , two times. I am 64 yrs, 5' 5" & 79 kg male. I do at least 4/5 days a week exercise like brisk walk 1 hr or tread mill, cycle,cross trainer & rowing for 10 minutes each or some light wt lifting (max two days /wk). My diet is morning - Two wheat chapati+veg + any one fruit + tea + 1 cup milk/ curd. Lunch -- Two cups of rice + 50 gms fish + 400 gms veg + 25 grms lintel + 1/2 cup curd. Dinner - Two chapati of wheat + veg + 50 gms chik. And more or less 180 ml alcohol. Suggest me if I need to cut down to reduce weight to 72 kg & any other suggestion.

YOUr diet is normal for weight loss. To lose weight, you must burn more calories than you consume a day from your diet, if you burn 3000 calories, you’ll lose a pound a week. People who lose weight slowly, about 1 to 2 pounds per week, are more successful at keeping the weight off. You'll also burn additional calories if you increase your physical activity. You weight-loss plan should do all of the following: •Emphasize fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and fat-free or low-fat dairy products. •Include lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, and nuts. •Contain foods low in saturated fats, avoid trans fats, and limit cholesterol and salt (sodium). •Avoid refined sugars and processed foods. Some tips to help you lose weight: •Keep a food diary. Writing down everything you eat is critical! Noting how you feel when you eat will help you identify emotional triggers that may cause you to overeat. Emotional eaters tend to overeat. •Eat when you're truly hungry rather than when you're tired, anxious or stressed. •Eat slowly. If you eat too fast, you eat more than you need to satisfy your hunger. Your brain needs time to catch up with your stomach. •Plan your meals ahead of time so you make healthy choices. When dining out, check the menu online and decide what you will order before you sit down. Ask for dressings on the side. Opt for foods that are baked, broiled or steamed versus fried or swimming in creamy sauces. Avoid chips and bread baskets—they add unnecessary calories. •Stay hydrated. People often mistake thirst for hunger. You need to have diet plan based on your BMI & activities. Whatever we eat is metabolised by the body for the energy needed to do daily work and the excess is stored as fat. Abdomen is the first place to gain weight and last to disappear. In brief, Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans for each part like belly, thighs, legs / chest etc. To burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. As half of your diet. Then take 1/2 of your total diet as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. Should be just bare minimum. And do aerobic exercises, running, jogging or at least walking briskly 3-5 KMs and swimming if possible, and in a gym if feasible. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise & dieting to take just as mush food as needed for your activities. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests. Dear , describe your complains and also urine report. There are many reasons why you get recurrence or relapse of infection like wrong drugs, inadequate dose inadequate duration and wrong way of taking them, most important thing is to find out under lying cause which makes you susceptible. So far as I am conscern alcasol is not the treatment for infection and infection means you must have more then 5 pus cells in urine. If only alcasol gives you relief then you might not have infection after all. Dr. Kiran mehta.

Hello, firstly start taking a full nutritious diet. A good diet is a nutritional lifestyle that promotes good health. A good diet must include several food groups because one single group cannot provide everything a human needs for good health. And what ever we are eating that reflects on our body and skin. 1. Homoeopathic medicine for fair skin is berberis aquafolium mother tincture. Take 5 drops of it mix with water, twice a day. 2. Apply this tincture in diluted form on your face with cotton once a day. 3. Wash your face with besan and curd, mix a pinch of turmeric also. 5. Apply rose water to your face at night. 6. Apply cucumber juice+ lemon juice+ tomato juice on your face. 7. Apply multani mitti pack on the face, wash it off after it dries.

Avoid- sitting at 1 place for more then 1 hour. Avoid cold drink. Daily 2 cup warm milk without sugar. Add fibre food in your diet.
