Hello. There is no medication or food for improving eye sight or to get rid of glasses. If not interested in glasses then you can try a. Contact lens b. Lasik laser as your age is now 19 years so your number will not increase now whether you wear glasses or not as number becomes stable at age of 18-20 yrs. Having said that I advise you to eat balanced diet including green vegetables and seasonal fruits for keeping eyes and body healthy. Lasik is a very easy and painless procedure. If you want to get rid of glasses then go for lasik.

My mom eyes are not seen anything currently. Which food should we taken.

DOMS, MBBS
Ophthalmologist,
My mom eyes are not seen anything currently. Which food should we taken.
Get your refraction done and wear spectacles eat green veggies. Carrots. Strain less your eyes. Relax your eyes in between work. Blink regularily if working for long time on computer. Lower the brightness of your screen. Work under adequately illuminated conditions. If needed wear corrective spectacles. These r few things you can take care of. It would automatically get stable after few years. Else you can go for lasik surgery after satisfying few criteria like refraction error amount, stability, and corneal conditions. For this you should visit an ophthalmologist and get detailed examination done.

Hello lybrate-user. Sorry about your father's eye problem. Diabetes and blood pressure are disorders of the blood vessels. They tend to affect most of the organs in the body including the eyes. In the eye, diabetes/ blood pressure may lead to bursting of blood vessels and subsequent bleeding into the eye. This would in turn reduce the vision of the eye. In some cases, it could be improved by surgery or injection in the eye whereas in other cases, it would be irreversible. Thus, the best guide would be a retina specialist. Take the opinion and follow the advice given by the retina specialist. Feel free to contact me for further assistance. Hope my suggestions helped you. Take care-

My eyes are getting red most of the times. How can I treat eye redness?

DOMS, MBBS
Ophthalmologist,
My eyes are getting red most of the times. How can I treat eye redness?
Red eye has many causes. You have to see if it is associated with blurring of vision, pain, discharge and other complaints. But commonly its allergic or infective in origin ie allergic or infective conjunctivitis. Which has simple treatment protocol. But still its wise to see an ophthalmologist for a thorough slit lamp examination to rule out other differentials for red eye.

What the reason of red eye. I have red eye but my eye not naturally red. Red line are present in. What do for normal.
Hello, Bloodshot eyes appear red because the vessels at the surface of the white portion of the eye (sclera) become swollen. Vessels may swell due to: Eye dryness Too much sun exposure Dust or other particles in the eye Allergies Infection Injury Eye infections or inflammation can cause redness as well as possible itching, discharge, pain, or vision problems. Other causes of eye redness include Colds or allergies, Acute glaucoma, Corneal scratches: Injuries caused by sand, dust, or overuse of contact lenses. Sometimes, a bright red spot, called a subconjunctival hemorrhage, will appear on the white of the eye. This often happens after straining or coughing, which causes a broken blood vessel on the surface of the eye. Most often, there is no pain and your vision is normal. It is almost never a serious problem. Because the blood leaks into the conjunctiva, which is clear, you cannot wipe or rinse the blood away. Like a bruise, the red spot will go away within a week or two. Management: - Try to rest your eyes if redness is due to fatigue or eye strain. No other treatment is needed. - Wash your hands, hold clean water in your hand, keep your eyes closer to the water and wash the eyes by blinking the eyelids frequently in the held water in hand. Repeat it for 3-4times again. - Avoid watching T.V., working on computer or mobile, reading. - In case there is itching, use a clean napkin or a tissue to wipe the tears and cleaning the eyelids gently. Medication: Take homoeopathic medicines - Schwabe’s Belladonna 30 and Euphrasia 30 - both thrice daily for 4 days. Use Euphrasia Eye drops twice daily. Revert back thereafter.
