What are the things which a girl should keep in mind when she have sex for the first time? What is the safe time to have sex to avoid pregnancy without using any barrier?

MBBS
General Physician, Faridabad
There is no safe period for pergnancy, you have to take chance. You should keep in mind about hiv. If your cycles is regular, say your menses start on 1st and ends on 5th, then safe period is 5-10 and 21-to start of menses is considered to be safe. But pregnancy can happen any time. It will help you. Thanks.

Sex karne ke 4 ghante baad mc aa gayi hai phir bhi pregnant ho sakti hai kya? Please answer sir.
Dear user. TO CAUSE PREGNANCY on a woman, sperm should be ejaculated inside the vagina or fresh sperm should be inseminated inside the vagina with some means during the fertility period of the woman. There are many determinants of pregnancy. You should be sexually matured. Your partner should be sexually matured. The period of your partner should be in the fertile stage. Her egg and your sperm cells should be healthy enough. Then her uterus should be capable to get conceived. If all these were satisfied, the pregnancy could be a result. Semen do not pass through clothes to make pregnancy. Sex during periods does not cause pregnancy. Usually precum do not contain any sperm cells. Period means disintegration of the uterus membrane which is meant to be for the child. Swallowing male sperm cannot cause pregnancy. In the given case, there are less chances of pregnancy. Take care.

I have a low AMH count of 0.4. All other blood tests are normal. We have not consciously tried to conceive but referred to a going for normal consultation. Even without trying any medication we have been advised to start IVF treatment immediately. I need to understand if that is really the only way or can we take medication and still try naturally. My age is 32.

Dear lybrate-user, as you have posted your AMH is 0.4, which suggests that you have low ovarian reserve, which is genetic. Its what you are born with, so there is no medication which can improve this, so trying naturally the chances are as good as nil and yes you shud consult an infertility specialist and go fr IVF immediately.

Clothing That Lets Your Skin Breathe

MD - Dermatology , Venereology & Leprosy, MBBS

Clothing That Lets Your Skin Breathe

Some women may wear cotton and some satin. What is obvious here is which one of the two women are more comfortable. Even if the woman who is dressed in satin has a much shorter dress than the woman wearing cotton, the skin of the woman wearing cotton will still breathe a lot better. Therefore, it can be said that it is not the length of the clothing you wear as compared to the material you are wearing, which dictates how well you breathe. This is because certain fabrics allow sweat to evaporate while others block skin pores.

Here are the fabrics, which allow sweat to evaporate and do not block skin pores:

  1. Cotton: There are a number of natural varieties of cotton. Cotton blends are one of those, which might not be very helpful, but 100% cotton fabric is. Seersucker and madras cotton are also easy to breathe in. Dry summers and humid conditions make cotton clothes ideal.
  2. Linen: Linen is another natural fiber, which absorbs moisture well. Since linen is lightweight, it is also a fabric which helps your skin breathe.
  3. Light variants of silk: The light variants of silk allow your skin to breathe since it dries quickly and is highly absorbent. Silk is also a fabric, which is least likely to cause an allergic reaction
  4. Chambray: Chambray is an alternative to denim and is a breathable one as well.

There are also fabrics which you should avoid in summer when your skin needs to breathe. They are.

  • Satin: Satin as mentioned earlier is thick and heavy and does not allow someone to breathe well.
  • Nylon: Nylon does not absorb sweat well and is also water repellant. This means that it will trap sweat within your clothes and will make you feel uncomfortable.
  • Polyester: Polyester is very similar to nylon in that it makes sweat stick in between your body and your garment.
  • Rayon or viscose: Rayon or viscose is often passed off as cotton. However, it's not as good as cotton, even though it is not as bad as polyester or nylon.

Hi, The ovulatory period is between 12th - 15th day of the menstrual cycle of a woman who normally menstruates once in 28-30 days. Try during these days and she may be able to succeed in becoming pregnant, if both of you are fertile enough.

Do not worry and focus on living a healthy lifestyle both for you and your husband. Both of you can visit a gynecologist for a routine medical check up and do some basic tests. Please learn that it is important to be healthy and fit before you plan to conceive so that you do not encounter any problems later on. Adapt a healthy lifestyle. (eat only healthy and balanced diet with daily servings of fruits and vegetables ). Exercise and Yoga will be very beneficial for both of you to maintain good health. Please revert after that for any clarification. Also read more about healthy habits from the internet and follow those which appeal to you. You can also take the help of Homeopathy if there is any difficulty in conception. You can contact me for further details with all available reports.

Copper T for last 10 years, if it is the same one, then first do a pregnancy test. If negative, wait for another week to get spontaneous periods, if still its not coming, repeat the pregnancy test. If again negative, medicines can be given to get the periods. Once the periods are over, have Copper T replaced by a fresh one.
