lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Taking a supplement like Nutralite in addition to your normal food intake is bound to add some weight. Usually weight around the waist and abdomen only goes up initially. To make your arms, legs, other body parts to add weight, one needs specific muscle building exercise. Otherwise only central body weight will go up. Thanks.

Dear lybrate user, you should take banana shake grapes juice date milk soaked black raisins, figs, roasted potatoes more carbohydrates, protein by taking cheese, sprouts and 40 gram butter sugar paste daily in your meal for one month. Within a month your weight will increase,

According to many news sources in media, market is full of spurious protein supplements. So consider increasing protein rich foods when going to gym for body building. Rich protein food includes paneer, cheese, milk & milk products, non -veg, soya and pulses.

Tips for weight gain 1) eat foods rich in protein like milk and milk product, eggs, chicken, meat. 2) eat energy dense foods like nuts, dates, potato, halwa, kheer etc. 3) eat fruits high in energy like banana, chickoo, sitaphal, mango, grapes. 4) eat two servings of pulses in a day esp. Soybean and urad dal. 5) have proper rest.

I want to gain some weight in 2 months. My weight is currently 52 Kgs. Please suggest me about diet and what are the things that will help me to gain weight. Hi, do regular exercise. Take whey protein one spoon after workout. Take 2 banana with warm milk in the morning. Eat soaked dry grapes or dates soaked in warm milk overnight. Include protein rich food in your diet. If you are non vegetarian include eggs chicken and fish in your diet,(thrice a week). No drink before meals. Take frequent meals instead of 3 big meals.

Diet, exercise along with herbal preparations will be effective in weight gaining, shaping body, fitness, maintaining stamina etc. The consumption nutritious diets along with herbal supplements are more effective in weight gain. Mental determination and attitude is also important. In cases of weak digestion, poor appetite and poor absorption, weight is not increasing, requires dietetic changes and herbal preparations to correct appetite and digestion, the treatment may be for 3-4 months. Dear lybrate user, increasing weight does not mean that you will go fatty. In fact, extra fat serves as a precursor of many diseases. In order to increase your weight as well as stay healthy you have to increase the muscle mass of your body. Normally a muscle undergoes an increase in size when it gets hypertrophied due to weight training. Weight-training leads to the pumping of blood to the muscle resulting in increased protein synthesis in the muscles. This applies to every muscles of human body. So, weight training is a must to increase weight. Whenever a muscle gets hypertrophied it demands protein to expand. Here comes the need of protein supplement. The most effective protein supplement is whey protein. For quicker & better results take 40 grams of whey just after waking from sleep at morning. Take another 20 grams of whey just 30 minutes before workout. Again take 40 grams of whey just after you have finished your workout. Kindly remember gaining weight is a time -taking process. So do not expect any result within fortnight.

There are many whey proteins available in the market - ON, Muscletech, Ultimate nutrition, etc. Building muscles requires eating more calories. The more weight you gain, the more calories your body needs to burn them off each day. Pre and post workout meals are the most important meals for bodybuilders because a poor diet can undermine all their efforts and hard work. Basic supplements like protein powders, creatine and multivitamins work really well when combined with a balanced diet and regular weight training. The best times to take protein supplements are after a workout session and before going to bed.

Definitely you will gain weight by increasing high biological value protein rich foods like soya, egg, fish, chicken, paneer, mutton sometimes, dry nuts and oil seeds. Consume soya, fresh fruit and a dry fruit milk shake regularly apart from your normal diet.
