Doing one good thing does not help. Green tea is as good as black tea, only milk and sugar which has calories, must be avoided. To reduce weight you need to avoid processed ready to eat foods that come in a pack like backed, fried and confectionary, minimise dairy food, rice and wheat based food, sugar, oil & salt. To gain weight you need to take healthy carbs like brown/unpolished rice, oats, bananas (3-4 daily), potatoes, fresh milk and home made milk products like curd, butter, paneer, ghee etc. Do 30 mins of strength exercises daily.
