Effects Of Skipping Breakfast!

Many of us tend to hurriedly rush to our workplace without having our important meal of the day. Yes, you got it right, the king of meals breakfast.

The meaning of breakfast is to end the overnight fasting. The body tries to repair and regenerate our cells and tissues when we are asleep.
After the process, the body tends to accumulate various by products that essentially​ needs to be thrown off the body. When you skip or delay your break fast, the toxins tends to build up in the body. Secondly, when there is no food source to provide energy, body tends to use the stored nutrients in the body very slowly and the body function slows down. 

Later, when you have your brunch with loads of foods at a time, the body tends to accumulate it hoping to use it in times of crisis. This habit when followed over a long period of time tends to slow down the body's ability to maintain blood sugars as well as healthy weight.

So, dear all my friends do have a healthy, nutritious breakfast everyday to maintain your sugars as well as weight.
Just don't read but make it a everyday practice from today.

Take apple cider vinegar diluted in water twice a day to cleanse your liver toxins.You can have a glass of fresh vegetables juice with natural herbs to keep your system strong and healthy

Hello Lybrate user,you need to get a balanced diet plan considering your life style, activity,and food habits. The diet plan needs to be individualised to get the desired results.As a thumb rule eating small nutrient dense low calorie meal is very important.A good protein supplement would be an added advantage in the initial weight loss process

I would suggest you to watch your diet for extra calories in the form of sugars,fats, processed foods etc. Timely meals is also an important aspect of your diet plan.Cut down on your extra carbohydrates to reduce the weight.

Dear Lybrate user,weight loss is a journey and not a destination. Quick weight loss tips do give you wonders but only for a temporary time.Considering your issues,I would suggest you to have a plant based protein supplement with green tea extract alongwith 3 egg whites everyday.Alongside , schedule your meal timings once in 4 hours with intake of plain water at regular intervals.Just let me know your results after a week.Take care

Gas formation after eating anything. After breakfast it feels like something fills in my head, anxiety and sleepiness. The dinner has the same effect but it attacks after few minute. And after these symptoms attacks on me I have left eating dinner and taking only lite food. The quantity of tea is decreased to few sips. It is affecting me for years. Taking "Triphala" for six months decreases these symptoms but to some extent. Please help me.

Gas formation could be due to indigestion . Eating heavy meals, lot of sugary foods, pulses etc cause gas formation. First, i would suggest you to check the above things along with a cup of probiotic curd in lunch and dinner. Have a teaspoon of Apple cider vinegar unfiltered diluted with luke warm water before going to sleep. This should help you get relief from the symptoms.

My mother is over weight for years and she had arthritis problem. She can't stand or walk for long time. Firstly she wants to reduce weight. Due to overweight she is having more knee pain and it is increasing day by day. Is it good to prefer weight loss centres? Else what would be the best way to lose weight? For the knees pain, your mom needs to take a supplement containing glucosamine that will help her release the knee pain. Then start giving her low calorie fruits and vegetables as mid morning snacks. Let her have enough fluids and atleast a serving of protein in at least 3 of her major meals. This should help her with loss initially​. You can chat with me personally for further details.

Ideally breakfast should be taken before 4 to 5 hours of lunch with a handful of protein as a mid snack.In your case break fast would be around 10 but you can have a glass of milk or a serving of dry fruits prior to it

Avoid sugary foods and all types of pulses and dals for a week. Go more for veg soup and at least once give him 1 cup of probiotic curd.This should at least solve his problem to some extent

Follow a salt restricted diet. Also ,it is important to eat good amount of veggies or equivalent supplement to provide magnesium to the body. You need to check the kidney functioning​ test to rule out any underlying problem.

Increasing​ weight requires loading with good bacteria in the gut for the better absorption of nutrients. You need to take probiotics to keep the undesirable growth of bacteria in check. This you need to continue for at least a week and then a high calorie plus high protein shall be advised. This will ensure the maximum absorption of nutrients at the right time.

This could depend on the content of your diet as well as your sleep quality. Too heavy dinner with lots of ca'rbohydrates with less protein makes your system lethargic. For a strong immunity to develop, you need to provide good supplements initially for at least 3 months containing garlic, phytonutrients and other antioxidants. Alongside check out if you are consuming any medications from long time that may be adversely affecting your immune system.

Hi my husband just underwent oral cancer surgery followed by chemo and radiation. It's been 9 months he's also lost almost 40 kg of weight. You can go for nutritlite protein powder with green tea extract for better results. Give him antioxidants and phytonutrient rich food like broccoli, bell peppers,lime ,purple cabbage,apple and pears along with seeds. This should help him with mananging his diet.

Crackling sounds could be early signs of arthritis as per latest study. Its better that you take good amounts of purple and yellow fruits and vegetables. Alongside take a good amount of glucosamine enriched supplement for your healthy bones. Calcium levels seldom give us any accurate picture. Consult your orthopedic doctor for more information.

Sugarless Foods: Are They Really?

Are the foods marketed actually sugar free? Does no added sugar mean that it is zero calorie? Have you ever thought if some ingredient is missing, some component needs to be substituted in its place? These are some of the few questions that needs to be answered before you jump onto buy the sugarless stuffs.

  1. Check for the ingredients added in the foodstuff like sucralose, high fructose corn syrup,molasses etc. These are the  other names given to sugar to misguide the customer.
  2. Watch out if the base raw material itself is high in sugar like refined flour/maida, dryfruits like figs/anjeer, dates. Though dry fruits are definetely a better substitute to sugars, but cannot be categorised as sugarless.
  3. Check for the addition of fats and oils like refined fat/ hydrogenated fat. Though this may not affect the sugars immediately but definetely harmful if you have high cholesterol levels.

So, next time just donot bounce on the sugarless foods but do a mindful eating with regards to how much you are eating.
