Hello Dr. I am 40 year old. I have lots of acne/ pimples on my face from last 3 months. dermatologist suggested me 2 tubes CL CURE Gel and CLIN RED - B Cream .Coming 50 and Nezvit Az tablets. I am taking it regularly but it works nothing. Scars are left and daily an acne formed on my face. He also suggested a face wash (Deep Wash ).I am so fade up Please help.

Hi lybrate-user, Glad to hear from you :) Usually acne takes about 3-4 months to stop. Within 3 months the breakouts should reduce visibly and the marks would take around 2 more months to go. Do not pick the pimples in any which way. Eat a well balanced diet and stay away from refined, junk and fattening food items. Drink at least 12-15glasses of water per day. Continue with the medications and in case you feel that there is absolutely no effect then visit the Dr. Once again. Do no rub your face and wipe your face gently :)

Hi lybrate-user, good to hear from you:) there can be various reasons why you are losing hair. It can be a hair product that is not suiting you, or pollution, dandruff, poor eating habits so on and so forth. Please consult a dermatologist and he/she shall guide you better. Also include more greens in your diet, eat at least 2 servings of fruits, include chicken, egg, fish, flaxseeds, walnuts in the diet and use a mild shampoo to wash your hair.

Hi lybrate-user, glad to hear from you:) please stay away from any pills and powders which promise you weight loss. No pill and powder can lead to sustainable weight loss. For sustainable weight loss you need to follow a balanced diet and add some exercises at the same time. Please consult a trained nutritionist and dietician for the same. Meanwhile eat small and frequent meals. Stay hydrated. Avoid refined, processed and high calorie foods. Eat at least 2 servings of fruits everyday.

Hi lybrate-user, glad to hear from you:) any food supplement needs to be taken under the guidance of a doctor or dietician. Please do not add it to your diet like this. In order to gain weight you need to eat more calorie dense foods like nuts, wholegrains, fruits and veggies. Make sure you add more protein the diet. Make friends with milk, yoghurt, paneer and chicken because without enough protein the eaten food can get converted into carbs and ultimately fats.

I am 66 years old and height 177 cms. My present weight is 80 kgs despite I play daily 3 badminton games. I take 50grams sweet dish daily (home made milk ice cream or half mango, one apple. Please advise to keep the weight 65 to 70 Kgs.

D lybrate-user, glad to hear from you:) do you have any medical issues? in order to maintain to your weight please follow these tips- 1) eat small and frequent meals preferably every 2 hours. 2) stay hydrated and drink at least 12-15glasses of water per day. 3) eat at least 2 servings of fruits in a day. 4) add more leafy greens and veggies in the diet. 5) try and use only 4 tsp of oil for cooking meals in a day. 6 stay away from high calories and fattening foods. 7) say no to junk and processed foods. 8) keep the sugar and salt intake to minimum. Hi there, Your height basically depends on your genes and after a particular age the height remains the same. ☺ You still have a year to turn 18 so try and include good amounts of fruits and veggies, eggs, omega 3 rich foods like flaxseeds, walnut, chia seeds, salmon.

Hi lybrate-user, please consult a doctor and dietician before you start taking any such supplements. The best treatment for pcod is a high fiber low fat diet and believe me thyroid and pcod both can be treated best with a diet only as there is no permanent cure for the same. These supplements would just give you temporary effects or would have no effect at all. Have a diet which has good amounts of fiber which you shall get from foods like fruits, veggies, brown rice, quinoa, daliya. Consume nuts like almonds or walnuts because they contain good fats (only 4 in a day. To add protein you can have dal, pulses, chicken, eggs, yoghurt, milk, cottage cheese etc. Stay hydrated and drink at least 12-15glasses of water per day.

Hi lybrate-user, it is advisable that you start incorporating healthy foodstuffs in the diet (fruits, veggies, brown rice, quinoa). Practice portion control. If you have a desk job try and get up a few times and do simple exercises like a brisk walk for 45 minutes. Make sure that you use minimum amounts of salt, sugar and oil and refrain from eating junk and refined foods.

Hi , rather than purchasing protein powders. Opt for natural sources of protein. Such as milk, curd, buttermilk, dal, pulses, chicken and eggs.

Hi there, greetings! in order to lose weight you need to eat healthy and switch to a healthier lifestyle. Eat small and frequent meals drink at least 12-15glasses of water per day have minimum of 2 fruits in a day have foods which are high in fiber such as oats, fruits and vegetables. Your diet needs to be rich in proteins and fiber you can obtain proteins from the simplest and easily available sources like milk, curd, buttermilk, egg whites, chicken, fleshy fish and low fat paneer lastly stay motivated and work towards your goal of losing weight in a healthy way.

Hi there, you can sip water in between your meals. But make sure that you do not consume excessive amounts of water. Try and avoid drinking water before meals and after meals. Weight for at least 30minutes after a meal and then have water.
