Greetings Doctors! My wife was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism two years back. We have been taking allopathy since last 24 months and she has been on. "Neomercazole" tabs. Last visit our doctors suggested to decrease the dosage and slowly withdraw the medicine. But still she has been experiencing few syomtoms. We were referred to Nuclear medicine department and now we were given few glimpses of further treatment which may include Radio Iodine treatment. We are yet to complete the family (kids). We have also tried homeopathy parallel. But in vain. Please suggest what we should do ?

This is little tricky. If you want to opt for radio active iodine treatment, then you need to wait for 6- 12 months post treatment to plan a child. Also, you have to make sure, that preconception TSH of your wife is normal before planning a child. Or else you can opt for surgery to remove Thyroid gland partly or fully as the case may be & replace the Thyroid dose of required & plan your family.

If you have a proper blood circulation in your penis, Manforce 50 shall be of help. Make sure to know that this tablet can lower your blood pressure dramatically hence do not combine it with heart or BP lowering medications like nitrates or so. Also, Headache is one common side effect, hence you can take paracetamol for the same.

Could anyone tell how to control thyroid for my Mother naturally which has effected last month.

Diploma in Diabetology, MBBS
Endocrinologist, Mumbai
You need to take medication for Thyroid as it is a lifelong disorder. However, you can reduce the dose by following a Vegan diet with lots of fresh green leafy vegetables, fruits and nuts in natural form & avoid everything which is in processed form.

Hello Doctor,
Can a diabetic eat tomatoes and carrots daily and if yes then how much?
Yes. You can eat as a salad. But cannot take carrot juice. Take a bowlful of salad with 2 major meals as the fibre of salad will curb the sugar rise due to the carbohydrate of the meal.

My liver stiffness 28 KPA how to reduce just test over today I also diabetes patients.

Diploma in Diabetology, MBBS
Endocrinologist, Mumbai
This is a high score & it indicates liver damage. A normal score is less than 7.5 KPA. Please consult a gastroenterologist or a hepatologist to guide you for the same. As for your Diabetes, if the sugars are not under control then you might need insulin to control it.

Can I send my test report to you. I am little tensed regarding this. My T3 is 2.79 and T4 is 1.24 and TSH LEVEL is 5.73 as I told you in my last question. Can my hypothyroid be normal in some days or it is for life time.

Your TSH is slightly on the higher side. You can check Thyroid antibodies. If they are high, you can start on medication. If they are low or normal, then you can repeat your test after 6 mths. Medications are generally lifelong. But with adequate dose titration ,there are no side effects.
