I really had a very nice experience with Dr.Gaurav Gupta. I needed Yellow Fever Vaccination for whole of my family before going to Kenya and I had no time to travel to Kolkata or Delhi just for vaccination. Dr.Gupta has managed to send his representative to my place who has given vaccines and later I got the Yellow Card too. I really appropriate him for extending such a service. My very best wishes to him.

Hi, it seems that your child is passing developmental milestones almost as well as the other babies. This is a good sign, and means that your child can probably go to regular school and be like other children. Get a developmental assessment done at around 2 years by your pediatrician/ a psychologist specializing in down's syndrome, warm regards.

Hi, I am sorry to hear about your baby's problems. For the pink eye, after 7 days it is necessary to show to an eye specialist if the baby is not improving. For more information, please consider replying back, warm regards.

My 4 years old son has a fever since 5 days also he had loose motions . As per doctor 's advice we have given him paracetamol syrup and antibiotics. But the fever is not yet controlled. It ranges between 99 °f to 100 °f. I am worried a lot. He is not eating anything and we forcefully give him liquid diet and boiled potatoes, rice etc.

Hi, I can understand your concern. We are getting many similar kids in our practice as well. A fever of up to 100 f is most likely due to viral infection, and should get better over the next few days. Do not try to force feed the baby, viral fever leads to low appetite in all of us as well. Please hire me if you need more tips, warm regards.

Hi, it is possible that your daughter has chest allergy. We need to get her checked with a doctor who can auscultate with a stethoscope for hearing a wheeze. If this is the case, then specific treatment like nebulization and long term treatment may be needed, along with some precautions. Please get back for specific advice, warm regards.

Hi, certainly, rapid growth in the baby can lead to pressure in the chest and gerd (reflux). You should try to take small frequent meals, and avoid spicy foods. Also, sleep with a slightly raised head and neck position. Taking medicines after talking to your doctor may help as well. Please get back for specific advice, warm regards.

Hi, thanks for contacting us. Losing hair is not necessarily abnormal at this age. Many infants will become almost bald before they grow the hair back. However, you need to check for any scalp problems like redness, dandruff itching etc. If this is present, or the hair loss is only in a small part of the scalp, then you need to contact your pediatrician, or get back to us, warm regards.

Hi, thanks for contacting me. Your son is possibly suffering from eczema/ dandruff of the scalp. Treatment would involve keeping the scalp'moist' use a good quality oil to massage the roots and then wash it off after 10 minutes with a baby'no-tears' shampoo. If the problem persists, talk to me on private chat or consult your pediatrician. Warm regards

My son says that his right side nipple is paining while sleeping. What may be the reason? He has no fever, no swelling any where in body. Nothing. Is there any serious issue?

Hi, thanks for contacting me on lybrate. At his age, nipple pain is generally a mild problem that does not need specific treatment. If it persists, a pediatric evaluation for any trauma, inflammation etc, may be done. However, in most cases, this will disappear after some time. Warm fomentation and reassurance will generally help in a majority of cases. Warm regards.
