Dear lybrate-user, cirrhosis of liver is basically the shrinking of the liver. When liver shrinks then it becomes unable to perform the complex metabolic task that it performs for the body every day which includes the elimination of toxic materials from the body. Needless to say, under such circumstances, there is accumulation of toxic material in the body. Not only that liver also performs the handling of fat, proteins and so many other digestive components. The solution for cirrhosis of liver is first of all to eliminate the cause due to which it happened in the first place. Cirrhosis occurs due to alcohol most commonly, hepatitis b/c or any other hepatitis, due to overloading of liver by any substance like iron or fats etc. So the first step for the treatment of cirrhosis of liver should be the identification of the insult which has led to cirrhosis of liver. This entails a battery of tests to investigate the reason. Once that reason is identified-things become easier to control. Cirrhosis is permanent problem but liver has got immense power for regeneration. So in spite of cirrhosis patient survive to live a long life if properly treated.

Dear Lybrate User, *Get Up Early, *Practice physical exercise, yoga, breathing exercise. *Massage body with simple coconut oil and bath with warm water, *Avoid maida related breakfast. *Avoid drinking water before taking foods. *Avoid more tea, coffee, soft drinks. *Lunch and dinner with green vegetables. *Drink more fresh fruits, or juices. *Take little dry fruits like cashew, almond etc. *Dinner should not be very late and half the quantity of lunch. *Lunch should be in good quantity. *Take buttermilk, milk with ghee daily. *Avoid stress, sleep 6-8 hours.

Poor eating habits causes weakness, low energy levels and poor immunity. Eat as per what the body needs. Being underweight can be a concern if it's the result of poor nutrition. Here are some healthy ways to gain weight when you're underweight: eat more frequently. When you're underweight, you may feel full faster. Eat five to six smaller meals during the day rather than two or three large meals. Choose nutrient-rich foods. As part of an overall healthy diet, choose whole-grain breads, rice and cereals; fruits and vegetables; dairy products; lean protein sources; and nuts. Don't fill up on diet soda, coffee and other drinks with few calories and little nutritional value. Instead, drink smoothies or healthy shakes. Snack on nuts, dried fruits and fresh fruits. Even when you're underweight, be mindful of excess sugar and fat. An occasional slice of cake or ice cream is fine. But most sweets should be healthy and provide nutrients in addition to calories. Sheera, lassi and chikki are good choices. Exercise, especially strength training, can help you gain weight by building up your muscles. Exercise may also stimulate your appetite.

Tips for weight gain 1) eat foods rich in protein like milk and milk product, eggs, chicken, meat. 2) eat energy dense foods like nuts, dates, potato, halwa, kheer etc. 3) eat fruits high in energy like banana, chickoo, sitaphal, mango, grapes. 4) eat two servings of pulses in a day esp. Soybean and urad dal. 5) have proper rest.

In order to increase your weight as well as stay healthy you have to increase the muscle mass of your body. Normally a muscle undergoes an increase in size when it gets hypertrophied due to weight training. Weight-training leads to the pumping of blood to the muscle resulting in increased protein synthesis in the muscles. This applies to every muscles of human body. So, weight training is a must to increase weight. Whenever a muscle gets hypertrophied it demands protein to expand. Here comes the need of protein supplement. The most effective protein supplement is whey protein. But kindly remember only taking supplement is not enough. You need to take those supplements according to a fixed schedule. For quicker & better results take 40 grams of whey just after waking from sleep at morning. Take another 20 grams of whey just 30 minutes before workout. Dear you can easily gain weight and get a healthy muscular body by following these best things - 1. To gain weight, your digestion should work properly. If you have any disease of digestive system you should treat disease first. For proper digestion - take 10 gms powder of carom seeds (ajwain, 10 gm powder of cumin (jeera), 10 gm of rock salt. Mix them well and take 1/2 teaspoon (3-5 gm) of mixture daily after meal. Or take 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper (kali mirch), 1/ 2 tea spoon of jeera (cumin), 2-3 slice of ginger. Boil it in one glass of water for 2-3 minutes. Drink 5-10 teaspoons (15-20 ml) in morning and evening for strong digestive system. Or you can take amla powder 1 teaspoon with water for strong digestion. 2. Take a diet rich with proteins and fats. Firstly you try to improve your appetite, by routine exercise. Eat food that contains more protein like milk, milk products, fish, eggs, cereals etc. Avoid fatty and oily food. Avoid night watching. Sleep on time.
