You need to have a diet and exercise plan based on your BMI, age & weight and sex, presence of any diseases. There are matters to be discussed privately. Comprehensive exercise& diet plan based on whether vegetarian /non vegetarian can be given if you ask privately. May also need to do some tests. Weight reduction can be achieved only by reducing the intake of food 1/3 of what you take now. And by appropriate exercise plans to burn off fat. Some tips 1) Drink three or four cups of water whenever you feel hungry and just before eating food 2) Take boiled or raw vegetable like cucumber, carrot etc. as half of your diet. Then take of your total as sprouted pulses / proteinaceous food like roti, cooked pulses and remaining with rice or other carbohydrates. Oil or ghee etc. should be just bare minimum. The most important is to burn off the energy intake by exercises. There is no short cut or medicines without exercise. The food we eat is utilised for our energy needs and the remaining will be stored as fat which leads to obesity. It is better to do some tests.

Hi eat small but frequent meals. Avoid long gaps in between meals. Avoid junk as far as possible. Exercise at least 4 times a week. Lastly be committed. Remember it's a lifestyle change and not a one time thing. There is no short cut. It's a balanced intake that will last you longer. So, try to first follow this seemingly simple tips. I am sure this suggestion will at least help you with initial fat loss.

You can follow some tips in daily routine. 1. After every meal, drink 1 cup boiling water with spoon sip by sip. After half an hour you have taken meal do this daily. 2. Try to avoid eating heavy food after 7 pm. As it takes time to digest heavy food. 3. Drink 1 glass water half an hour before meal. 4. Try to do some exercise. Yoga and meditation are very good in losing weight and maintaining it also. Yoga asanas you can do - manduk asana - sarwang asana - setubal asana - pawan mukht asana pranayama -anulom vilom -deep breathing - kapal bhati other exercises -crunches -cycling -leg rotation.

For your stomach, -you need to start doing ab exercises/crunches/push ups. -do kapal bhati everyday. Stop eating fatty and oily and sugary foods or drinks. -reduce the intake of alcohol (if you take).

Hi, I am a hypo thyroid patient. Struggling to lose weight from quite sometime, not getting results. I can not do heavy workouts or aerobics bcz of knee ligament injury in last year. Your weight is controlled by 4 major factors (1) refined sugar consumption (2) exercise and hydration (3) posture and sitting (4) how many times do you indulge yourself - alcohol, binge eating at parties, overeating etc. Step 01: refined sugar 1. Avoid all snacks and commercial products with sugar in them - biscuits, cakes, bournvita, horlicks, coke, pepsi, energy drinks, sweetened yogurt etc. 2. Cut down on your daily intake of tea/coffee and maintain it at 3-4 cups a day. 3. Try to add little sugar to any beverage (coffee, tea, milk, lemon water etc.) that you have and ideally you should refrain from adding any sugar altogether. Step 02: get exercise and proper hydration 1. Try to work out for 20 minutes each day. You do not necessarily have to go to the gym. You can incorporate some pretty powerful exercises in your daily routine like - squats, skipping, surya namaskar and core exercises. 2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water everyday but remember that tea/coffee are not substitutes for pure water. Step 03: improve posture and sitting habits if you have a sitting job then ensure that you do not sit for more than 30 minutes at one stretch. Get up and move a little after every 30 minutes. Step 04: stop indulging and eat more of raw natural stuff 1. No more than 60 ml of hard liqour or 2 glasses of beer per day. 2. Try to eliminate the urge to overeat but if you do overeat try to limit the incidents to two times per week. 3. Eat 4 servings of fruits per day. 4. Each of your meal should contain 50% of raw vegetables. Once you incorporate the above points in your routine you will see a dramatic difference in your weight, physical shape and energy levels. You will find that there are a lot of companies out there that are trying to sell expensive products to naive consumers in the name of weight loss. These products may not necessarily be good for you. Losing and maintaining weight is something which is totally in your hands, it is easy and it is free of cost if you follow the above mentioned points.

Obesity is a fatal hazard to health. Apart from damaging the physical appearance of an individual, the condition can develop many diseases such as blood pressure, heart related diseases, osteoarthritis, and many more. Obesity at initial stages can cause a lot of discomfort such as breathlessness, inability to carry out daily tasks, walking, running etc. The best way to take care of health is to adopt measures to fight obesity. Caution: Most people tend to adopt a short cut to fight obesity such as popping ‘miracle pills’, crash diets, starving etc. These methods may bring results but are extremely dangerous for health. These methods can ruin kidneys, liver and heart. Hence, it is crucial to stay away from such temptations. Any medications without a doctor’s prescription can be life threatening. Here are some steps to fight obesity: Step 1: Ban Fatty and Processed Foods If you are serious about fighting obesity, then you must put a ban on fatty and processed foods. This means your refrigerator should not be loaded with pastries, muffins, cakes, frozen foods, preservatives, jellies, and many other food items that you are tempted to buy from the supermarket. Step 2: Make Friends with Lemon Drink a glass full of lemon in warm water with honey when you get up in the morning. This should be the first thing you have in the morning. It kick starts your body’s metabolism & helps with the cleansing process. This is vital when you are trying to flush out fat. The water you use should be filtered. Lemon will help you naturally balance your pH. Step 3: Eat Moderately Having three big full meals a day can harm your body. It is crucial to have something after two hours but in moderation. Step 5: Add Colours in your Diet It is crucial to eat at least 5 to 6 servings of fruits and vegetables, each day. You should focus on adding yellow and red bell peppers, broccoli, red lettuce, green vegetables, berries and papaya to your diet. These are rich in nutrients and fibre that help you fight obesity and keep your body fit. Step 6: Drink Water You should drink at least 6-8 glasses of filtered water each day to stay in shape. This helps in flushing out toxins from your body and loses weight. Step 7: Get Moving You should exercise as often as possible in the gym or at home. This may not sound appealing but there is no way to escape hard work if you really want to stay in shape. Step 8: Green Tea You need to drink at least 2 cups of organic green tea to keep your metabolism in healthy state and boost your immune system.

EAT E- Eat right food A - Eat right Amount of food T- Eat right food in right ammont on right Time what is right food? Always choose easy preprations: those food itemts cooked easyly are healthier, contain more nutrition and easy to digest. Avoid deep fried extra oily food: Generally deep fried over cooked foods causes acidity and gastric problem which lead to indigestion and later on weight gain due to improper digestive system. Add colors to your diet: Use color full vegetables, and eat different color fruits, it will provide phytonutrients. Phytonutrients are natural compounds found in plant foods such as vegetables, fruit, whole grain products and legumes. These plant compounds have beneficial effects working with other essential nutrients to promote good health. Divide your plate into four sections with dairy on the side to represent the five food groups: Fruits Vegetables Grains Protein Dairy What is right ammount of food? (It means your Portion size): One easy way to size up portions if you don't have any measurements is to use your hand as a guide: A clenched fist is about a cup — and a cup is the amount experts recommend for a portion of pasta, rice, cereal, vegetables, and fruit. A meat portion should be about as big as your palm. Limit the amount of added fats (like butter, mayo, or salad dressing) to the size of the top of your thumb. Right time: Fix meal timings, and try to stick to those timings. Maintain a proper gap of meals to get it digest well.

In the month of January'16 and my wife had complain related to irregular periods and one of the gaeno prescribed her Ovipauz L to take. She has been taking the same since last two months and this weekend I had her weight check and found she lost 10 Kgs of weight since she started taking it. I have asked her not to take ovipauz and put her on 15 days monitoring period to check whether she gains some kilos or not and also put on high carb, fat diet including banana, milk etc.

Dear kindly do not stop any medication specially the one you are talking about on your own. It is too harmful for the patient and there are chances of bleeding and then irrerugular cycles. Kindly get a proper consultation before stopping or starting any medication. As far as weight is concerned there might be some other reason as it is highly unlikely to loose weight with these medications. Kindly take a proper consultation.

Your BMI is 27.6; you need to loose 17 Kgs, The best is to go on a NO cereal, No sugar, No fatty food diet and eat only fruits and vegetables. If you cant follow such a diet regularly for two years, you will soon need to undergo Bariatric surgery.
