The degree of symptoms can range from mild to severe. Symptoms include high body temperature, agitation, increased reflexes, tremor, sweating, dilated pupils, and diarrhea. Talk to your psychiatrist. While it is not addictive stopping it suddenly may cause “ discontinuation symptoms “ which are more like anxiety symptoms. Like always please discuss with your doctor about change of medications especially if you wish to stop the medicine as it should be gradually reduced in dose and stopped to avoid the above mentioned discontinuation symptoms.

Consult the treating Psychiatrist before doing anything as not tablets retain their bioavailability after being crushed. The amount of medication available within the body may reduce if it is crushed and mixed with food items. Consult the treating Psychiatrist for alternative medication which is orodispersible or mixes with food.
