1. Do steam inhalation by steam inhaler 2-3 times daily with karvol plus inhalant capsule
2. Put otrivin nasal drop 1 drop thrice daily.
3. Take one tablet of levocetrizine (5mg) at bed time.
4. Drink lukewarm water/hot soup/herbal tea etc
5. If you have recurrent attack of cold you may be having sinusitis/allergic rhinitis
6. Take plain xray pns/ct scan of pns after consulting ent specialist to exclude sinusitis and take treatment accordingly

If it is an allergic rash than cetrizine should work and I will suggest you to buy a strip of tablet cetcip and just give half tablet for now after crushing it and mixing it with water and if rashes doesn’t reduce within six hours than we should go steroid therapy along with a blood test.

Yes ,you are right cetrizen recommended after 6 month of age. Observe the child for weaning effect of cetrizen which may last 12 hr. But problem is feeding. If child does not awake after 2-3 hr ,urgently contact to paediatriciasn. Other notable side effects are dry mouth, headache sometime retention of urine and rarly convulsion. But do not worry cetrizine is safe medicine in its class but you must consult to paediatrician if child does not awake. I hope ,it is compelete answer of your quarry.

No drug should be taken without obstetrician' advice in pregnancy. Cetrzine is not a "sleeping" pill. So break your habit! through it is category B drug it is best avoided on 1 st trim.
