The medicines you are taking like zolpidem and lorazepam are not indicated as the primary treatment of insomnia in the context of bipolar disorder. You need to restart the course from your treating psychiatrist and take the medicines as advised. Dear lybrate-user, yes it will be because by now your brain is accustomed to this drug, by the way who prescibed this drug to you was it a psychiatrist or did you self medicate, another thing you have not mentioned the dose of zolpidem that you are taking so that if high it might be tapered down to suit your exam needs. Therefore you must consult a psychiatrist at the earliest. Yours sincerely.
