Why would you consult a neurologist for a psychiatric issue? Stick with your medicine or see some other psychiatrist.
Best is you go for psychotherapy sessions online or in person and get a hang on your anxiety by learning how to deal with it.

My husband suffered a stroke which was not diagnosed. The doctor prescribed serdep 50. After a month and numerous visits to the doc, I insisted on being referred to a neurologist. After scans etc it was confirmed after being discharged and having lost faith in the original doctor, my husband's blood pressure was very high. He went if to the doc and whilst in the consulting room he had a massive seizure. He was again hospitalized but after scan etc the neurologist said he did not have another stroke. He was again prescribed serdep, start g on half a tablet for 2 weeks then full dose. After the first day on full dose he complained of dizziness and nausea. On the 3rd day after not eating properly, he complained of headaches nausea, lack of appetite, and extreme dizziness. He went to the doctor, his blood pressure was high, as well. The doctor told him to persevere it will get better. Instead of reducing his anxiety it has got worse and he is very miserable. I have been giving him 1000iu of vitamin e and memorex and potassium tablets. He is also on zartan I hope I have put you in the picture. What is your advice thank you in anticipation

Stroke can be of two types. Ischemic and hemorrhagic. Management differs in the two. Ischemic stroke is common. To differentiate between the two, ct brain is needed. High bp itself can cause seizures. Please upload the details so that I csn give you an opinion.

Try to find the cause of depression with psychological testing with qualified clinical psychologist. For all those parameters. For early recovery you can think of adding Insight Oriented Psychotherapy. As far as medicine is concerned. There are multiple options. Which can be given to you in case of Daxid not working. After consultation even then if not working or you do not want to take medicine then we have measures called Neurostimulation therapy called RTMS therapy. If you have suicidal ideas...more

For schizophrenia, antipsychotics are given, which you have not mentioned. Daxid reduces anxiety, but do not take it over the counter, but consult your psychiatrist, as there can be many issues which need to be looked into.

Dear lybrate-user,
No drug is safe in pregnancy. The chances of birth defect or mental defect may be 1 in 10000 with a drug. For you, it may be your only child.
On the other side, the severity of OCD and its effect on pregnancy and child rearing also need to be considered. If it is severe and needs to be managed with all these drugs, you can ignore rare chances of birth defect. If OCD is mild and you can manage for few months without drugs, you are welcome to decide on it. Discuss all th...more
