Dear Kkrao,
Probably you are suffering from dysthymia or recurrent major depressive disorder or bipolar depression. Talk to your doctor about the diagnosis so that either a mood stabiliser is added or antidepressant dose is increased or therapy is added.

Hello. If after 1 month your requisite for Zolfresh or Zopiclone isn't there, then you don't need either. These are relatively less habit forming than certain other medicines used for sleep disturbances. However, one can get dependent (psychologically and physically) on them too.
It is more advisable to follow sleep hygiene as well:
1. Limiting daytime naps to 30 minutes. 2. Avoiding stimulants such as caffeine and nicotine close to bedtime. 3. Exercising to promote good quality sleep. A...more

Dear Ved,
Clonotril is a benzodiazepine - probably you have become dependent on it. If you want to stop it, try Zolfresh instead of clonotril. Better still try an antidepressant. After 3 weeks, you will be able to stop clonotril without becoming depressed.

Go to emergency and get treated. Depending on your condition, they will give a stomach wash and take out the medicines and treat for the overdose. Hurry, do not delay. After recovery consult a psychiatrist to address the suicidal thoughts. Good luck.

Hello, thanks for the query. Zolfresh is a medication which should be used for a very short duration (say 2-3 days & no more!). So, inability to sleep despite using 10mg zolfresh indicates some form of stress/mental illness taking its toll on your mothers health. Since your father has passed away recently & one can understand how hard it is to cope up with demise of a life partner; it is another indicator of that stress or possible mental illness. Based on your information I would like to rule o...more
