yes, zolpidem do cause memory problems especially retaining whatever you study. Paroxitine is quite safe in this aspect and in itself capable of inducing sleep and relieving anxiety, so it can be taken in long term too, especially if it helps you in tackling anxiety. So, ask your psychiatrist to help you get rid of zolpidem.
