Asked for female, 21 years old from Delhi

I am 21 years old female under treatment for nausea ,vomiting, diarrhea from last 2 weeks. The prescribed medicine are metronidazole 400 mg 3 times, ciprofloxacin 500 mg 2 times, ranitidine 150 mg 2 times and Racecadotril (for 3 days 3 times a day), Ondansetron (3 times for 7 days). Now I am better with vomiting and diarrhea but I feel lot of gas inside my stomach unable to pass gas, only burps and sometime hiccups and I feel nausea/vomiting at night. My CBC, LFT ,KFT, Ultrasound test are normal. Ps - I have previous medical history, I am under treatment for my depression from the last 2 years. I am taking carbamazepine 200 mg two times a day and clonazepam 0.25 mg two times a day. Please tell me how much time it will take to recover. I am feeling very low just because of my nausea/ vomiting.

Sir/ma'm, my mom lost her appetite since last 40 days. Her ca-125 level was 1089 and usg revealed ascites. The cect done. But did not reveal so much. Then performed laparotomy and biopsy report and cell block preparation confirmed abdominal tuberculosis. She is taking akurit 4 tab, benadon,udiliv 200 and cobadex czs since 20 th june. But after 4/5 days starting of medicines she has severe vomiting. She can not eat anything. Anytime she has tendency to vomit. Doctor prescribed ondansetron inj and pantocid dsr tab. But she is not getting well. Today (4/7/2020) we have done lft and kft. Serum creatinine is 1, total bilirubin--5.1,sgot--333, sgpt--235, alp--270. Doctor advised on phone to stop all medicines except udiliv and cobadex. And to repeat lft after 7 days. Should I wait. Or I need to admit her in hospital? Are all parameters very high for her? Can they lead to death very soon (somebody told me that she will die within 3 days if not hospitalized)

lybrate-user, her ca-125 is on the higher side but iâm sure her treating physician must have ruled out everything including malignancy. For some patients, their liver enzymes can get deranged. The best thing is to stop the treatment until bilirubin comes back to normal. If she stable and you are very worried you can repeat her lft tomorrow a and send me the reports.

My brother who is 7 years old had an open appendectomy 10 days ago. Now during his recovery he does not have fever but he vomited 3 times last night. Is it fine to give him vomikind. Or please suggest a medicine without side effects.

it's antiemetic drug nd composition is ondansetron so don't worry is good and safe.

My husband was diagnosed with brain tuberculosis in april this year. He was on medicines n was recovering but suddenly on 23rd july he suffered a minor stroke. Woth affected in squid right eye. Partial deviation on ride side of face and dysphagia. Though with medicine his eyes has improves 90 percent and one cannot make out any deviation on face. His walk has also become more confident. But his swallowing is showing NO IMPROVEMENT. He cannot even swallow his own spit. Please help. He is 6 feet and 92 kgs and on the following medication. Pyzina 750 thrice daily combutol 1200 mg once daily Onfloxin twice daily Decmax 4 mg thrice daily. Pan 40 Zofer. Zapiz once every night. Please please guide me. Its been 20 days. What further tests or medicines can be of any help. We try feeding half spoon soup .it goes but within 30 sec to 1 min .it comes out with cough n spit. Please please help.

recovering well but need reassessment. Good
follow up, regular medication &monitoring with
good nursing care is must. Diet as per doctors

My wife has been suffering from gastritis for last one year. She has been treated by 3 doctors but a lasting remedy has not been found. She feels bloated and has pain in upper abdomen below ribs immediately after meals. She stays absolutely normal from time to time and then it recurs. First time she was well for a month, next time for 10 days and then for a month. She has been given similar medicines like Sompraz, Pankreoflat, Reflux Forte, Pepsigard, Normaxin, Neopride, Decolic, Zofer, etc. She feels like throwing up or she does so at least one time after breakfast or lunch during the period of suffering which lasts 3 to 4 days. She has undergone CT scan, MRI, all kinds of blood tests but nothing wrong was detected. She has slightly high level of triglyceride for which she is taking medicine. Please help.

I lost my sister 22 days back. She was 21 years old. She suffered from triple A syndrome. Her haemoglobin had gone down to 3.8.Blood loss happened due to heavy periods for 15 days. She was taking homeopathy medicines to increase her blood level. Allopathy medicines for iron (like orofer) did not suit her. It caused her severe stomach pain. Her endocrinologist did not suggest blood transfusion for her. She had gas and vomiting problem on her last evening. She complained of chest and back pain. She was given rantac and zofer for it. But still she kept vomiting. This started in the afternoon and she passed away early morning at 4a. M.My mother keeps blaming herself for her death. She says that if she had a blood transfusion or hospitalized her earlier she could have been saved. She says that my sister's death was her mistake. She keeps repeating this about 100 times a day or more. She is devastated. I fear that this might affect her mental health. Please help.

But disappointment symptoms are far shorter in duration than depression. These symptoms will vanish in some days or weeks. Don’t worry. Physical exercise, outdoor games, entertainment, hobbies etc could help you divert your attention. I suggest cognitive therapy. Take care.

Take tab pantop twice a day before meals.

I feel vertigo feeling on alternate basis from last three mth sudden vomiting with movement of all things are felt with sweat coming from body. doctor in emergency prs emeset inj&&pan 40 inj ecg was normal. Dr. at ganga ram hosp delhi recommended sgot pot normal bun test normal lipid profile normal sugar normal. doctor last recommended stemtil md bd for seven days aftr eating for two tab I had a felling that my head is having no senses. I have a standing work almost 10hrs a day working for last 10 yrs in past two mth I have lost two kg weight. My sleeping hrs are less max five to six hrs. Time gap betwn brkbfast and lunch 6hr and lunch dinner 9 hrs can yu please help me what to do.

Hello, I am facing irritation while urination. We have consulted two doctors so far, one told it is very serious issue and suggested inj. Mero (1gm), inj. Pantocid (40 mg), inj. Paracetamol (1000 mg), inj. Emeset (2 ml), tablet drolgan (80 & 100) for 2 times a day for a week. We got panic and went to another urologist specialist, he was cool, asked us not to panic, told not serious as of now and suggested urispas tablet for me and oflomac for myself and my wife for a week. By the end of that week the irritation was not there. Again after 2 days of stopping the tablet, again irritation is there when I urinate. Doctor has asked to take semen culture test now. I am really worried and panic about this situation, is it serious or nothing to be worried? Attaching blood test results: urine culture test - colony count - 80000 colonies/ml. Organism isolated - pseudomonas. Antibiotic susceptibility report: amikacin, meropenem, gentamicin, ofloxacin, piperacillin/tazobactam - sensitive.

Your symptoms are suggestive of complicated urinary tract infection. As per culture report, inj meropenem was good choice but it should be continued for longer duration followed by oral antibiotics for total of atleast 10 to 14 days. An ultrasound of kidney ureter and bladder and prostate is madatory. You should consult with a good physician or a nephrologist for proper evaluation of uti and optimal treatment. Take care.
