Effects may vary from person to person. Fluconazole is long acting while itraconazole needs to be consumed daily. Both itraconazole and fluconazole can affect the metabolism of other drugs and decrease their effects. Fungal Infection at groin area can be either Dermatophytic infection (Tinea Cruris) or Yeast Infection (Candidiasis). There are other skin diseases too that may happen at or around groin region. Since your condition does not seem to have improved, ideally you should undergo a throat swab test for resistant organisms and take antibiotics accordingly. Fungal infections are more often common inpatients with a back ground of immune deficiency disorders or diabetes or certain medications use. Otherwise you won't need zocon. Go for a throat swab test and take the right antibiotic.
