Dear lybrate-user, Most likely the source of infection is diaper. Now a days diapers soak a lot of urine which remains in contact with the sensitive parts which can give rise to retrograde urine infections in infants. Zifi has cured her, I hope it was prescribed by your pediatrician. Change diapers every 3 hrs max and try to keep the area dry.

Take a warm or lukewarm bath. Start off by drawing a warm bath. Have the person suffering from the fever get in and relax while the warm temperature of the water slowly drops. Because the temperature of the water drops slowly, the person cools down slowly as well.
You don't want the water too cool because you don't want to drop the body temperature too fast.
Use a wet towel treatment. Take one or two hand towels and fold lengthwise. Soak the towels in either very cold or ice water. Wrin...more

Seems to be Medicines effect, though ideally you should have got your Culture and sensitivity done too to see the type of Infection you had. Now that you have almost finished with the med effect get a repeat pap smear done from a different place and see for the results.

Please get a private consultation. It could be a viral infection in which case the temperature will come down on its own in 3-5 days.
You must watch for the following
1. Temperature should not be going up any more. It should gradually come down. The gap between time of fever also should be more with time.
2.baby should have good appetite for food and water.(you have not mentioned how old the baby is, so difficult to guide you on that aspect)
3.cough and cold should decrease.
