I am 31 year old male. I had several heart palpitations episode two months back. Two days before my first palpitation episode I went to check my BP levels as I was experiencing some discomfort, BP was 157/90 at that time however didn't take any medicine then. When I consulted the first doctor, he had taken my ECG shortly after palpitation where my heart beat per minute was around 125 and also taken my echo, Hotler test and treadmill test which didn't show any signs of arrhythmia or other complications. My echo test report showed a mild concentric LVH. Doctor advised me take promlet 20 mg for a week but it did not give me any relief. As advised then I consulted a electophysiologist, who prescribed me Ciplar la 40 mg for a month. During this time I didn't have any heart palpitation episodes. After the course I had stopped taking the medicine and almost for three weeks everything was fine. Three days back again I felt some discomfort, when I checked my BP level it was 150/90 this time. I consulted the doctor again, this time he advised me to undergo an EP study and for meanwhile to continue the same medicine. Is my palpitation as a result of high blood pressure level? I don't have any other medical history as such. I am not an overweight person. My first palpitation was during sleep, I am saying this because I have experienced shortness of breath during sleep and my sleep would be disturbed all of a sudden, this occurred once in a while. Should I undergo an EP Study?

When someone’s heart doesn’t beat normally, doctors use EPS to find out why. Electrical signals usually travel through the heart in a regular pattern. Heart attacks, aging and high blood pressure may cause scarring of the heart. This may cause the heart to beat in an irregular (uneven) pattern. Extra abnormal electrical pathways found in certain congenital heart defects can also cause arrhythmias................but these very severe conditions and persons like u with HBP got OK with some life st...more

I am trying to figure out what this means. In july of this year, I went to the hospital not feeling well. In the er, I suffered an episode of either non sustained ventricular tachycardia or supraventricular tachycardia with aberrance. The long and short is that the cause, to this point, seems to be idiopathic. However, I was going through my records and found the initial ekg that was done when I went to the er noted poor r wave progression (no history of mi or cardiac disease), sinus tachycardia and that anterior infarct couldn't be ruled out. The nsvt or svt, whatever it was (they have told me it's hard to say since tele monitors are not reliable. And this is from one of the best ep docs in the nation!) was on a different strip. A cardiac mri was done a few days after. I've had two angio ct's done, a cardiac stress test. I have a loop recorder in. To date, nothing has shown abnormally. My question is simple. Did I have a heart attack and three electrophysiologists, my gp and three cardiologists are missing it?

No you didn’t have any heart attack. You probably are reading the prints on the ECG. This info is not reliable as it changes with lot of factors, commonest being shaking while ECG js taken. Physicians are trained to read ECG and it is unlikely that three physicians could miss a heart attack. You have named all the possible arrythmias in you msg. Stop worrying

Not dangerous, relax. How often does she get tachycardia, and how long does it last? You can give medicine daily, very safe, or if not getting controlled, you can meet EP cardiologist for RFA and ablation procedure, it is curative. Best wishes.

I was diagnosed with dm 2 about two years back. Iam on amaryl-m1 bd & has hba1c of 7. I started feeling extra sensation under the feet, heaviness in foot, leg, thighs from about a month or two, some pain in hip area and finally difficulty in lifting one leg about 2 weeks days back along with knee weakness in one leg although other leg has been affected to a lesser extent till date. I never experienced very sharp pain & 2 weeks back had mild pain in my buttocks for about a week. The loss of movement in the 2 directions direction in the leg & knee weakness was quite quick about 10-12 days back. Now I do not feel any pain but had some falls primarily on account of knee weakness or weakness in right leg. Mri scan, ct scan were ok but problem was reported in nerve conduction test in both legs but mainly in right leg. Was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy or diabetic amyotrophy which correlates with my overall symptoms. Doctor put me on 8 day course of prednisone (40mg-10mg) with insulin. My sugar with amaryl m1 as on now is under control & I take light food with reasonable physical activity & sugar levels now seems to be ok 92 fasting /140 pp. Also started visiting a physiotherapist from today. As of know there is appears to be some improvements in my walking (can walk 15-20 min at a stretch inside home) though weakness in one leg & knee persist. I cannot drive due to difficulty in movement of my right leg when trying to move it sideways while sitting. It is also not possible to lift the right leg against gravity when laying down though backward lifting & movement on sideways when lying on one side are intact. Have been prescribed pregaba m 75 (hs, neurkind+. Have no pain of any type. My questions 1) has peripheral neuropathy reached a plateau ie. Stopped or not 2) is pregabalin needed in my case as I have no pain, i. E. Whether it play a role in nerve regeneration or is overall beneficial in such situation 3) can I expect improvement in my right leg in 1-2 months time with sugar control & exercises.

1. Peripheral neuropathy is a on going process even in normal individuvals as age advances due to deficiency of vitamins mainly b12
2. In your case pregabalin is needed for some time 3. Nerve regeneration is impossible for anyone 4. Definitely you can expect improvement in the right leg in 1-2 months with good control of sugar & exercises.

At first I told, you, tsh hormone is that hormone which stimulate thyroid to secretion of t3 & t4 hormones. Now t3 & t4 hormone are protein in which iodine is combined .in t3 iodine is 3 & in t4 iodine is 4, presence of t4 is more than t3, t4 converted in t3 later. But you have no problem of thyroidthyroid ,next the tab which is prescribe by your Dr. Nm-5 mgmg which is nitrozepam combination which is work as a sedative & anti anxiety, I don't know you suffering from this type of problem or not, ...more
