Abstaining oneself from any kind of addiction is not easy. You need to seek professional help and avoid self medication. Since I see you stay in bangalore I would suggest you to take your son to nimhans de-addiction centre or any psychiatrist near your vicinity. You can do a personal visit also if your son is not going.
Combination of medication and psychotherapy by a clinical psychologist will work wonders for him. All the best.

Risperidone is pregnancy category c. Which means use if benefits outweigh the risks. Same for asprito. There are not enough studies to say that the drug is safe during pregnancy. Having said that mental health of mother during and after pregnancy is of utmost importance. So many a times medication is necessary and you should consult a psychiatrist for the same.
Hope this helps. All the best!

Dear lybrate-user, if you are only taking medicines you will not improve completely. And if you are feeling well due to medicines this wellness stays as long as you continue to take medicines, but short after you stop the medicines the synonyms will return. If you want to get rid from anxiety and depression you have to work on your thought process, you require regular counselling sessions which will help you to stop medicines and improve your physical and mental health.
