Dear lybrate-user, you are currently taking two antipsychotics, an antidepressant, a mood stabilizer and a long acting antipsychotic. In long term these tablets are going to harm your metabolic system and you will develop weight gain and higher chances of getting coronary artery disease. My request is you better consult with your psychaitrist and please consider going for cognitive behaviour theraphy.

Dear the medicines for epilepsy is prescribed on long term basis. However in sustained remission, like in your son's case it can be discontinued. The medicine required to be tapered gradually over months before stopping it. Kindly consult your physician and discuss this issue.

Stopping the medicine with put informing doctor is a grave mistake as you stopped the medicine before three months I request you to do the eeg again and restart the medicine.

It cannot be predicted and so its ideal to go for check up regularly with the doctor. He may ask for some tests if required. Be health conscious. Follow all the good habits like taking the medications on time and eating a wholesome food (avoiding junk and unhygienic food) and exercising every day. She can learn Yoga which can benefit her.
