I have copd and want to take a sleep aid called delay it has diphenhydramine in it would it be safe I take zyrtec and I think it has the same thing in it and I do ok.

These are not sleep-aid basically these are antihistaminic. Diazepam clonazepam ativan are the ideal sleep-aid.

Dear Labrate user, you are suffering from productive cough and taking cough syrup given by the chemist. Firstly if this cough is of short duration 3-4 day and not associated with fever and other symptom then it's ok. Otherwise you need thorough checkup.

I am having chest congestion, shortness of breath, chest tightness, sometimes suffocation, I am already taking some medication for these like diclofenac prolonged release tablets IP 100 mg, ranitidine tablets IP 150 mg, amoxyllin capsules I.P 500 mg and levocetirizine IP 5 mg as well as a diphenhydramine oral solution B.P etc, as sometime when I forget to take these medications I am having some kind of issues in my body like continuously having shortness of breath, have to take breath strictly or deep breath and my upper body parts (upper like neck, head, ears and face) suddenly heating up, I have been taking medications from last two months but still problems not resolved so tell me what should I do? And why I am having all these problems (i also want to tell you that I have been smoking since last 8 years but quit smoking 8 months ago.

I have been having itching sensations on my body (Hands, legs, neck, groins, scalp) for more than a month now. I had visited a MD (physician) who had recommended Allegra for 5 days and a cream to apply. 5 more allegra on sos. After 5 days I had to take the SOS allegra and then after that I have gotten used to it. If I don't take it for couple of days itching starts back. But a friend has recommended not to take it anymore. I have stopped it for 3-4 days but the itching sometimes is unbearable. Please advise next step. I am confused which doctor or which kind of treatment will be useful.

Don't give ascoril for common cold. It contains terbutaline, and will increase herat rate. Use only simple cough remedies like benadryl cough formula, which contains only diphenhydramine and ammoniumchloride.

Do not douche or use powders or sprays on your vulvar area. Try not to scratch. Use a cold pack or a cool bath to treat itching. For severe itching, try an oral antihistamine, such as a non-drowsy one like loratadine (Claritin) one that might make you sleepy, like diphenhydramine (Benadryl).
