No hormones mentioned. All birth control tablets mainly have similar hormones.

For trigeminal neuralgia, tegrital (carbamazepine) is most effective drug. He is on very minimal dose, dose can be adjusted if required but some effects are possible like sedation, rashes and decreased sodium level. Most of the patients require long term treatment.

It is irritation of diaphragm and you may have to check up and decide on medication .Various agents have been reported to cure hiccups. Chlorpromazine appears to be the drug of choice. Haloperidol and metoclopramide have been used successfully. Brivaracetam can surely cause mood swing though less than levetiracetam. However, occasionally levetiracetam can cause less behavioral disturbances when compared to brivaracetam .there are many antiseizure drugs that does not worsen mood or anxiety like lamotrigine or carbamazepine. These two drugs rather stabilize mood. Alternatively, levetiracetam can be restarted after discussing with a neurologist as levetiracetam dose can be increased more that what your son was taking.
