Dear lybrate-user
so far what you have done is enough to stop it. I don't think that this does will have any adverse effects, and even if you experience anything you can take last dose on sos basis. What you are taking now is pediatric dose that is unlikely to cause any discontinuation effect.

It is not advisable or safe to take medicines like clonazepam without it being specifically prescribed by your doctor or without their supervision. Also, it is not a treatment for anxiety, merely something that provides relief from symptoms for a few hours. If you have anxiety, I would advise meeting a medical practitioner and starting proper treatment.

It may last for 1 - 2 weeks. I will recommend that you reduce or alter any medication only under supervision of your psychiatrist. And consult your psychiatrist if you experience any symptoms after altering the medicine.

In the first place, it should not have been continued even for 6 months. It should have been replaced by other medicine preferably from ssri group which are more safe in long term and don't carry risk of dependence. Dear lybrate-user, First of all congratulations for deciding to take the sleeping pill off. I don't know how long you are taking Zapiz and why you are taking it. This is very important as because ideally it should be taken maximum for 4 weeks (2-4 weeks) if you are taking it only for insomnia. It will not cause much problem if you have taken less than that.
However if you are taking longer, you should first decrease it to 0.5 mg for few days, then 0.25 mg for few days and finally take it off...more

You have to go for regular counseling/ psychotherapy along with medication. Please consult your doctor for your therapy sessions. As medicines reduces the symptoms but a regular therapy will solve the actual cause of your depression. If your reason for depression is understood and the therapist can work on it, then you will definitely come out of your depression phase. All the best.

Many people have Panic disorder for a long periods, years together, so do not feel worried about taking medication, rather feel happy being symptom free.
