About Yugard Eye Cream

Retinoic acid is an important regulator of GENE EXPRESSION during growth and development, and in NEOPLASMS. Tretinoin, also known as retinoic acid and derived from maternal VITAMIN A, is essential for normal GROWTH; and EMBRYONIC DEVELOPMENT. An excess of tretinoin can be teratogenic. It is used in the treatment of PSORIASIS; ACNE VULGARIS; and several other SKIN DISEASES. It has also been approved for use in promyelocytic leukemia. For acne it is applied to the skin as a cream or ointment. For leukemia it is taken by mouth for up to three months.

Topically this medication is only for use on skin and it should not be applied to eyes or mucosal tissues. Common side effects include skin irritation, redness, swelling, blistering, headache, Irritability, nausea, vomiting, hypersensitivity, Dry skin, Weight loss, Transient hydrocephalus, Hypercalcemia, skin cracking, HypervitaminosisDo not take this medication if you are allergic to it.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication works by binding to the retinoic acid receptor. This RAR is found to be bound to DNA in a heterodimer form with the retinoid X receptor. This is present in the region named retinoic acid response elements, also known as RAREs. This binding leads to the regulation of genes targeted, controlling a variety of cell types differentiation.
