it will take 3-4 days time.
If your having fever you also need an antibiotic prescribed.
Carry on with steam inhalation and if problem persist visit a physician.

Please identify the cause if this is due to intestinal worms that needs to be treated.
If not then it could be some infection at anal region and or piles
a doctor needs to physically examine the area and then give treatment.

Follow advice given below:
1. Maintain hygiene, avoid allergens 2. You can use calamine lotion local application for itching for 3-5 day
3. Avoid synthetic cloth and prefer cotton cloth
4. You can do gentle olive oil massage for dry skin
5. Do not use harsh soap

if you are having the above symptoms since past one month, then you must not neglect any further and consult a doctor in person. It is possible that the doctor will pescribe few routine blood tests and chest x-ray to rule out any of the respiratory infections.
