Dear Lybrate User, Allopathic medicines shd be stopped not abruptly but the dosage has to be reduced gradually. For example, if patient is taking 1 tablet a day, reduce it to half tablet a day for a month. In next subsequent month, reduce it to 1/4th for a month. And then stop it. From what you have written, it not clear what you are referring to at all. Please write what is the TSH level now or very recent and what is the dose of Thyroxine being taken. What you have stated is absolutely confusing. There is no mention of TSH any whereor the actual dose of the drug. Thanks.

Most likely you are having post traumatic epilepsy. Based on the ct/ mri brain and eeg reports usually neurologist will plan the treatment. As you are mentioning some "little convulsions" which have to be discussed in detail with neurologist and treatment will be planned accordingly.

Probably he is suffering from breath holding condition. If it is breath holding, it may go on its own after some time and earlier if you do not pay attention to it. But it is better to consult pediatrician to ascertain real ailment as he suffered from seizure in infancy.

Hypothyroidism and siezures (probably epilepsy) are tow totally different conditions. Both need to be treated with specific drugs. Treatment for seizures is invariably goes on for many years. As regards hypothyroidism, once it is diagnosed, the condition remains for lifetime. Therefore, treatment has to be continued for the whole life.
