Tablet obimet contains metformin. Whereas vildagliptin is a different compound. These drugs are usaully combined together. But whether to to one or both depends on the glucose levels, hba1c%, I can not answer without all the necessary details. Thanks.

I suggest you continue to check your blood sugars frequently with exercise and diet. Your 3 months average blood sugar will tell me how your blood sugars have been in the last 3 months. Less than 7% suggests dose reduction. But if it is around 6.5% and less than that and remains that way persistently with exercise and diet alone then we can stop the medicine. Gliclazide shd be taken once half an hour before breakfast between vildagliptin and telenegliptin, vildagliptin is better as he had robust safety and efficacy date with it. It shd be taken after meal.
